Griezmann is in his prime. Coutinho imo had yet to reach his prime. He was improving year on in Liverpool and was one of the top attacking players in the EPL when he was moved to Barca. I'd blame the scouting more than blaming the player.

We had that last sesson with coutinho messu suarez. You really think Valverde will bench Suarez to play Dembele LOL. Also, the Barcelona website gave a hint that Griezmann will be playing on the left which means dembele om rhe bench

Atletico got played by Griezmann during contract negotiations and was desperate to keep him so they gave in to the idea his clause can go down to 120 million euros in July.
