I think this thread got cleaned up a bit.

It actually quite amuses to speaking to tottenham supporters and reading their forum.

When we were both in for Suarez they were like:- Oh why would Suarez go to a mid table club, or why would suarez go to Liverpool when we are in the champions league and going places, or there is no way suarez is going to liverpool as we are now a bigger club and our performances in europe now means that we are a european powerhouse and he will chose us. Or (and this is my favourite) It if is a joint shoot out between us and Liverpool, then no doubting where Suarez will go. Liverpool are £100M+ in debt, have an average team and we are now a bigger club. We have world class players like Van Der Vaart, Modric, Bale, Sandro and Gomes and Suarez will wanna be a part of that.......

(I have not paraphrased any of the above, I have it saved on my computer all of those comments There are loads more I have saved as well)

from what i have heard tottenham were not even in for suarez, redknapp wanted him but the chairman didn't think he was worth that much money........

Ok tell Ajax that they rejected a phantom bid from Spurs for Suarez.........It never happened It was in their dreams that they received a fax from Spurs bidding for Suarez!!!

perhaps you shoud read my post again, i said that redknapp wanted him but the chairman thought it was too much money, hence why tottenham's lower bid was rejected. So it wasn't a case of suarez choosing liverpool over tottenham as you suggested, in fact he probably would of chosen spurs as they were in the knockout stages of the CL at that time while liverpool were mid-table.
