Actually, if the rumors are true about it, it's pretty savvy business by Barca. The buy-back clause is 2 or 3M, and his transfer value in the Rossi deal seems to be around 5M. That's essentially giving us a 2M net discount on Rossi.

Why? Pedro kicks Sanchez ass anytime, anywhere! And why would we sign 2 FW when we need a backup midfielelder and defender - signing 2 forwards is not our priority. Sign 1 FW and try to use our youngsters as much as possible.

it's all a matter of rotation.

we won't sign Rossi AND Alexis. it'll be one or the other. Alexis, to me, is a much better fit for the squad because he could actually play a proper wing role (like Pedro) if we need him to. whereas Rossi, like Villa, is a striker. except he's even less certain to be able to play wide.

and Warik, we don't need a CB (Piqué, Puyol, Abidal are all excellent there, Badger and Busi are good, and Bartra is competent), we need a solid LB to replace Maxwell, as that will create the depth that will allow Bilal to play centrally. if it wasn't for the tumor, we'd have had minimal defensive woes at the end of the season.
