Top 3 Players 2010/2011 season

Messi - Ridiculous amount of goals, and produced in those big moments when we needed him, especially with the injuries/lack of form other players were suffering from

Abidal - His best season yet, so composed, we were without Puyol for a long time but everything was fine when Abi was playing. Truly great season, and I'm glad he's back for the finale

Iniesta - None of the injuries that held him back so often last season. Magic right the way through, he's been a delight to watch.

Messi, no explanation needed
Valdes - underappreciated, his record speaks for itself. Incredible against breakaways, comes out and gets back superbly, distributes the ball so well. Must be considered in determining world's best.
Alves - contributes more offensively than any fullback in the world., while still doing his part in the great team defense. Like having an extra player.

Messi - We wouldn't have won anything without him

Abidal - Most reliable defender. If not for him, we would have been screwed after Puyol's injury.

Iniesta/Xavi - I can't really decide. Iniesta was the flashiest player, but Xavi was more consistent. You can always count on his 100+ passes /90%+ completion rate.

Special mention to Mascherano who really brought it after christmas. And if it wasn't for his tackle on Bendtner, it could very well have been Arsenal or RM going to Wembley.

Very easy.

1.Messi - simply the awesomest player in the world...ever!!!

2. Andres Iniesta - Approached the levels of his majestic 08/09 season, and was quite consistent throughout. Scored much more than usual. Was there for the big occasions. (Against Arsenal 2nd leg, Against Madrid in November, against Madrid in the 2nd leg) I really want him to score at Wembley

3. Xavi - Not his best season, but was instrumental throughout, again like Andresito, he was there for the big games. Scored some extremely important goals (even if his tally in assists and goals is not that impressive this year) against Arsenal and Madrid

Honorouble mentions - our 2 full backs, Alves (tireless) and Abidal (his best season ever, and an absolute rock at the back)

*Now they must top it off at Wembley, all of them.

1. Leo - Can there really be anyone rated higher for the season?...on any team?
2. Iniesta - We'd been seeing an injury plagued player in the last couple of seasons but he stayed healthy & still took it up a notch - more aggressive
3. Abidal - I'd put Villa as honorable mention but can any list of important players for Barca this season not include Abidal?...Even without the unreal & implausible fight back from cancer, he was having a phenomenal season...At 31 years of age, no less..Crazy

Messi
Iniesta
Abidal

had to leave players like Dani, and Xavi but tbh the three mentioned have been so awesome it's almost unfair

1. Messi - probably the best player of all time, we are so fortunate to have him in our beloved Barca.

2. Iniesta - awesome season from the footballer/poet, at times was almost as good as in his epic 08/09 season, but he was overall more reliable this season.

3. Xavi - not as good as last year, but was there for all the big games, including November Clasico, against Arsenal at home, CL semis against Madrid, and of course the final itself.

Honourable mentions: to be honest, all the team did great this season. Pique was a bit crap for a period (see Shakira), as was Villa for a while. But his goals against Arsenal, Madrid, and in the final leave nothing to be desired of him. Alves was immense, surely better than last season and possibly even better than 08/09. Abidal had an epic season until he got cancer. Busquets was much improved, Puyol was great when fit. Mascherano needed some time to get into the skin of his role. Pedrito (surely now we should just call him Pedro) was also immense, even though he had his dip in form.
