I couldn't find a topic for Gio, surprisingly. He was a good player for Barca, one of the few Dutch players I've been a fan of since the days when Barca was Dutch-dominanted ended. Glad to see he still keeps in touch with the team.

I am Leg End
I agree GVB was a top class player and a very important one for Barca in 05-06.

Another dumb Wenger move, moving him on too soon as well.

lol I was gonna post that pic. Gio was absolutely awesome. I really wanted him to stay here.

Anyways, nostalgia made me search for some nice Gio vids:

Van Bronckhorst on his favorite XI based on teammates he playing alongside with during his years.

He selected Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Roanldinho and Messi for Barca-players.

On Roanldinho

You could see the joy he had in everything. I once saw a picture of all Ronaldinho's moods - when he's happy, sad, tired - and they were all smiley faces. He was a good team-mate to have because he always kept the team going with his laughter.

But when the whistle went, he was there. To have him in front of you, it's amazing. He would just say, 'Give me the ball, you make your run and the ball will come there'.

It was amazing to play with him and the dynamic we had on the left side was one of the best I felt.

Anybody follows him in Feynoord? he is doing exceptionally well for them so far but what type of football he is playing?
With all Barca coaches talk I am interested in following his career as a coach, obviously won't be our next coach but might very well in the future at some point
