Henry is at the US Open watching Mugfils play Djokovic right now.
dumbazz... only in the MLS
"I pass and I move, I help you, I look for you, I stop, I raise my head, I look and, above all, I open up the pitch...The one who has the ball, is the master of the game...That's the school of Joan Vilà, of Albert Benaiges, of Johan Cruijff, of Pep Guardiola" - Xavi Hernandez
!!Visca Barça!! !!Visca Catalunya!!
Ironically enough he had to sit out this weekend's game because of the same exact injury he gave the keeper![]()
Henry has played in eleven games (playing the whole game in seven), and so far he has only two goals and two assists, with both assists in his first game. I don't know whether this means that MLS is better than most think, or Henry has just deteriorated that badly. Either way, it's not hard to see why Barcelona needed to cut him.
A bit of both. Henry has really gotten that bad but MLS isn't a joke like a lot of people think it is.
Its partially both, and also the fact that he jumped into the middle of a season without fitness, and has been playing injured for many of the games since the coach is pressured to play him whenever possible. This is also our coach's first season and he is still trying out new line ups and formations so its been a little difficult for Henry to settle in with his teammates.
It was funny when he arrived in NY to hear people on red bull forums convince themselves that this guy is still in the prime of his career, now reality is setting in. That said, I'm still confident that if he can get a consistent set of games he'll pick up his form.
Red Bulls are regular season victors in MLS...Eastern conference (I love how they've turned football into those divisional nonsense of all the other professional leagues in the US)

Paolo Maldini - "In my opinion, Messi should win the Golden Ball each year. He's an unbelievable player."
The MLS will continue to make its way towards the established methods of European leagues, do you have any idea what the league was like in its first few years? 1v1 breakaways instead of penalty shootouts, shot clocks, overtime during regular season games... To be honest I like having the playoffs, but I'd prefer the single table as well. Its all about easing Americans into the sport, right now its set up pretty similarly to hockey.
