Puyol is a lot better role model than a lot of the alternatives out there. At least he's not sleeping with other people's wives, or getting into fights at clubs, or crashing his car at 300mph. So he gets drunk once, big deal.

Exactly! People are also missing the biggest point of all... HE'S CELEBRATING A CHAMPIONSHIP! People in the crowd are drinking and jumping around the same way.
Even then you don't see the Cules rioting like those PSG supporters. Maybe because they're not used to winning they don't quite know how to handle it. That was really a shame to see as Paris is such a beautiful city with great people.

I think the police in Paris admitted that they weren't sure how to deal with the celebrations (they treated it like Olympic athletes coming home), underestimated how the fans would act & how much security there would need to be. So things easily got out of control. I'm sure in Barcelona it's much better policed to prevent stuff like that from happening, especially because in recent years there have been several title celebrations in the city.
