Artest almost got himself suspended for the entire season by punching Joey Graham right in the face. But he held off at the last minute. Interestingly enough, a few seconds later he's talking to Melo on the bench and Melo is cracking up at something Artest said ... but JR Smith looks like he wants to knock Artest the *expletive deleted* out ... like that was a seriously street look from JR. I wonder what Artest said.

anyway, Lakers at time look like they can put up 20 unanswered on Denver, but credit Denver because they are exploiting LA's transition defense (or lack thereof) and staying close. All this with Melo on the bench with an ankle sprain.

another interesting note, Kobe split a double team, drove to the hoop and went up for a layup, except he got no elevation and clunked it off the underside of the rim. meanwhile, Denver is triple teaming Kobe now.

you tell me that LA has 89 pts at the end of three, and I'd say that they also have a 15-20 pt lead. Instead they are down 5.

I would say that the Lakers are playing atrocious D, but there is no D. It's like watching Dallas, Phx, or the Raps play. Denver is doing an outstanding job of exploiting LA's inability to handle the transition D or the high pick n roll. plus they are hitting every single freaking shot.
