You guys are basically guaranteed a placeoff spot at least...
The funny thing is the Raptors have worse defense than we do in some ways...better interior defense yes but that doesn't say much because the Knicks have by far the worst interior defense in the league, but IMO our backcourt D is much better, especially when Nate doesn't play...I mean teams with great big men like Orlando and LA tear us apart while we have been surprisingly effective at shutting down small teams like Phoenix and an Oden-less Portland....the sad thing is we are better when we slow things down and play a half court game, because trying to outrun the Kings turned out to be a disaster...D'antoni deserves credit for finally playing some half court sets that can get the most out of our miserable lineup...
The winning streak continues!
Gallo has been playing some great basketball recently
For december his stats are
16.8 ppg
7.2 rpg
2.2 apg
1.6 stl
1.4 blk
1.0 to
45.6% FG
50.0% 3pt
Last night was another efficient game, only 12 points but excellent D...who says Euros can't defend? Harrington and Duhon meanwhile had great shooting games, and Lee found his consistency from last season.
I don't want to think playoffs yet, because this team has let me down plenty of times already, but it's clear we are a lot better than the awful start says.
Lakers end their epic home stretch. now we find out what this team is truly made of. five game road trip, two games are the 2nd of a back-to-back ... @ Milwaukee (totally winnable) and @ Det (always given LA problems, but totally winnable this year). Can't wait.
and the injuries keep piling up for Kobe ... groin tweak a few games ago, now a fractured finger on his shooting hand.
Like they will actually affect him.
The Lakers can afford to lose a few anyway, this is the most one sided NBA in a few years.
not necessarily. No one predicted the rise of ATL to one of the top three teams in the East. Everyone thought that Cleveland would be the team to beat in the East, but it's Boston, Orlando, ATL, then Cleveland.
the West hasn't played out as yet. Denver is a threat, but SA will pull it together by Feb. They are going to be a sight to behold (scary sight for us Laker fans) after the all-star break and I think SA will give LA all they can handle in the playoffs.
I keep hearing the cliches about SA, and while I think they will be much better in the playoffs, I just don't see much there to be scary about. Duncan and Manu are both past their best I just can't see them hanging with LA for more than a few games.
Denver are a bunch of stupid goons with virtually no defense, if they play LA again it will be a repeat of last year at best for them.
Atlanta lost to the Knicks, enough said. Lebron's supporting case is a joke, and Boston is even older than SA. Even Orlando has showed weakness, I mean they lose to the Suns last night!
kobe does it again with a broking finger, how does he do it??????????
Do I even have to say which two fouls are committed here?
