    Sweden

Here is some information about Sweden, it's not to much but i hope it's good enough for a start.

    Head coach: Lars Lagerbäck
    Assistent Coach: Roland Andersson
    Captain: Henrik Larsson
Most Caps: Thomas Ravelli - 143
Top Scorer: Sven Rydell - 49 goals
    Home Stadium: Råsunda Stadium
    FIFA ranking: 25
Highest FIFA ranking: 2 (November 1994)
Lowest FIFA ranking: 32 (December 2008)

Sweden is an experienced side in the international football. We have qualified to 11 of all 18 World Cups.
Our best results are 2 WC bronze medals (1950, 1994) and 1 WC silver medal (1958).

Right now our nationalteam is going through a transfer of property to the younger generations.
Some of our older experienced players are no longer playing so we are in a period trying to establsih a new team.
Players like Niklas Alexandersson, Marcus Allbäck and Fredrik Ljungberg which all have played big rolls in our team are no longer playing.
Henrik Larsson is still in the team but it is unsurely for how long he will be.

Besides calling up some untested players, Lagerbäck has also tried a new game system.
Last autumn & this winter we played 3-5-2 for in some matches with no further success.
Traditionally we always play 4-4-2 and it looks like it is going to stay that way.

Our Best squad looks like this:

    Andreas Isaksson - PSV
    ___________________

    Olof Mellberg - Juventus
    Daniel Majstorovic - AEK Athens
    Mikael Nilsson - Panathinaikos
    Petter Hansson - Stade Rennais
    ___________________

    Tobias Linderoth - Galatasaray
    Sebastian Larsson - Birmingham City
    Christian Wilhelmsson - Al-Hilal
    Kim Källström - Lyon
    ___________________

    Henrik Larsson - Helsingborg
    Zlatan Ibrahimovic - Inter

    Coming up:

World Cup Quallifying is what's next. I expect us to qualify together with Portugal but it will be tough.
    Denmark is a big threat.

    The Group:
    Denmark
    Hungary
    Albania
    Portugal
    Sweden
    Malta

The Under 21 European Championship will be held in Sweden this summer. Players like Balotelli, Giovinco, Bojan and Walcott will take part in a very important event
for swedish football. Last time we had a big football event in sweden was 1992 so it is about time. Hopefully our team will do good and you will hear about them if you follow the competition.
Some names to look for: Rasmus Elm , Albin Ekdal, Robin Söder, Niklas Barkroth... just to mention some.

Our young players look better than ever and the future years are bright. We have a lot of promising players going abroad to Eredvise and other European Leagues.

    Swedish Players & Barca today:
Behrang Safari, FC Basel - Played against Barca when we met them in the CL group stage.
Kim Källström, Lyon - Will probably play against us when we face Lyon in CL.
Albin Ekdal & Olof Mellberg, Juventus - If Juventus beats Chelsea they might play against Barca in the CL.
Mikael Nilsson, Panathinaikos - Still in the CL and might face Barcelona further in the competition.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Inter - If Inter beats Man U he might face Barca further in the competition.
Henok Goitom, Valladolid - The only swedish player in La Liga, he will probably play next time we face Valladolid.
