Alba is terribly overrated on this board. Guy can't bring in proper crosses and he simply can't create for himself, he can't win 1vs1 on the outside to save his life.

He has good technical ability and is fast. Thats it.

Alba is a top LB for sure, but not as good as Marcelo. It's at RB where we have issues

Technically and offensively Marcelo is the best LB in the world, but defenisively there are better LB's.

At least half the goals Madrid conceded last season was from the left side, everyone was having a laugh how much space there is on the left side, Marcelo is a winger not a LB, and definitely not the best LB in the world, people just can't remember what happened couple months ago thats it.

Not sure why you're even trying to argue Alba is a better LB than Marcelo. Name one thing Alba is better than Marcelo at except running fast?

I think Alba is more suited for this Barca team with that telepathic connection he has with Messi but in any other team, Marcelo is more suited.

Not many FBs would look great in this Barca side.

I'm content with Alba.

Yes, it's true it might find its way to a shot. But someone like Marcello is obviously more skilled at deciding to hold the ball up if necessary or making a good shot himself. Alba is what he is. Alves was also a great player, but his countess aimless crosses were exasperating.

Marcelo is a more creative, great dribbler, and has a great shot. Alba is better defensively and has a great connection to many Barca players. They each work for their team about as well as possible.

There is no doubt Marcelo is better than Alba. But alba isn't bad either, he is one of the best LB out there. I am glad we had him all these years, we should replace him down the line but right now not a priority.

Duracell bunny on roids was also excellent. I loved how he, Coutinho and Dembele interacted in the first half.

Him and Dembele showing signs of forming an understanding. Messi on RW however means when Alba gets in on the left he's no idea what to do, deprived of his patented cut back, like the one cross he actually has in his locker.

Might not get a call for Spain's international dutys . Lucho showing some balls . Love it . The way he acted like a spoilt kid when got benched was disgraceful

Obviously personal issues over performance based... pretty sad tbh. Although Alonso should be good, not sure why he didn’t get called up for WC.
