If he goes for two years then he'll not come back to Barca or any top club.

You don't go away for that long and make a seamless transition back again. I understand the mandatory military duty, but in certain cases exemptions should be made.

It shouldn't,that said everyone has the right to look for himself and do the best of his career.
If he has the oppurtunity to avoid it he should and people should understand it.He isn't a pop singer ,he is a footballer and his career is over if he went back.he will be just another over hyped kid like Gai & GDS

Yeah, but you're not taking into account the extremely conservative culture of South Korea. He's highly unlikely to dodge military duty not because he'll get boo'd, but because South Koreans don't dodge.

Young athletes should get a right to finish their military service when they are over 35. Doing 2 year military service while being 19-30 is a career suicide.

30+ men won't help the military much, it'll probably be too expensive to train one than the useable years you get from him in reserves (and 30+ men are more prone to getting injured and will probably have issues with taking orders from younger men). I think the Estonian system is decent, a mandatory 9 months or 11, depending on what your job is going to be, but for professional athletes, they just need to complete the basic training of 3 months and during that time they'll be able to train decently.

There was a football match between Estonia and England where one of our LB-s was actually serving at the military at the same time. Kid had to rush back after the game because he wasn't given a leave for longer than 22.00

If he'll have to go to an army, that is just way too many obstacles for him to turn into a world class player for a top team.
2 years of ban and 2 years of military would probably ruin even Messi's talent.

Fuck mandatory military service. It should be a choice.

This belongs to the "off topic thread", but if the US had not scared the crap out of North Korea with the axis of evil stuff and consistently refused to sign a formal peace treaty with North Korea to officially end the Korean War (still an armistice that had lasted 63 years), North Korea would not have felt so insecure so much so they had to develop nukes to fend off themselves and resorted to constant saber-rattling to scare the scrap out of South Korea, South Korea would not have instituted this mandatory conscription of all eligible men, we would not have to worry about LSW.

So I blame the potential regression of LSW and its impact on our club entirely on the United States.

You could just blame Marx instead.

A lot of countries have mandatory service, Korea's is handled differently which makes it an odd one in terms of career - perhaps he's looking to get dual nationality?

I’ve read a lot about this kid recently. Obviously very highly rated. Has he been playing for Juvenil A so far this season and if so how has he been doing?

He's been having somewhat of a dip in form right now, but he's still extremely good. Far better than Abeledo who's getting minutes at Barça B.
