Yes I am of course, I love cricket, but I will only watch the interesting games and the knock out games as well as all the england games if its possible.

I back India to win as I see no serious threat to them except Australia and I take the Indians to take them out.

There is one thing I guarantee South Africa will bottle it.

South Africa in cricket, are the biggest bottlers in sport.

Never understood the game. A buddy of mind said "it's somewhat like your baseball" The thing is I don't watch baseball and I think it's boring.

It's a bit of a shame they've changed the format to help all the big sides, less chance of upsets. Even worse they are taking away entry for the association teams in 2015! Real shame, the Netherlands, Ireland etc add something IMO, stupid to get rid. I was hoping to see Afghanistan at the next tournament if they carry on improving.

Big game this weekend, we'll have to play exceptionally well to beat India. Key is to keep them to a low total, as they are slightly weighted towards batting. If our bowlers do the business we have every chance. I'm not too confident though.

Here is something i want to know from the cricket experts here...
I have not been following the sport closely for a while now..But i seem to notice huge scores racked up in ODI's. >300 target was a rare occurrence in the past. Not so much these days. So what has changed?
Has the advent of 20-20 changed the player's mindset? Or is it the nature of the pitches prepared favour batsman? Is it the amendment of Powerplay? Is there a decline in Bowling standards?
These huge scores almost always leaves the team batting sec at a disadvantage. Makes for predictable viewing.
I'm a bit skeptical of the future of the 50 overs format. Its very much time consuming and suffers dull periods in the middle stages. It has its audience but will it 've the same selling factor in the more competitive future.

A combination of the different mind-set being brought into the 50 over game from Twenty20 and Powerplay. I don't think bowling standards have declined at all. Plus certain teams employ pinch hitters at the top of the order to start of with a bang. Overall I think the attitude has changed where in the past say 50/1 off the first 10 overs was thought of as a great score but now teams would rather be 70/2 or 80/3 off of the first 10 overs as they are willing to sacrifice the wickets for the runs. In the old days the preservation of the wicket was more important.

I too think the 50 over game is dead, because the money is now in the Twenty20 competition.
