lel. I was in a way glad BVB lost. It meant the so called leader, the captain, the savior of BVB didn't get his fairly tale ending.

Absolutely top3 reasons why Bayern lost today. Probably the most overrated german player. He made a career out of the world cup 2014. Boateng is the one holding it together, once he left Hummels got exposed. He simply can't play in a system that requires building from the back like with Heyncks, pep etc.. everytime he had the ball at the back he shat himself and he projected that doubt to the rest of the defense. And Madrid is not even a team that presses. The number of failed passes he made in the first half should tack him to a wall of shame forever.

he and Boateng were in hella a lot of 3 vs 2 situations due to lack of support from the rest of the team. For that he did well. His build up was lacklustre however, he's usually one of the best passers among CBs there are but yesterday he didn't offer anything and lost some balls.

Have you seen the goal you conceded? The counter-attack started because Hummels tried to anticipate a Mexico player and he couldn't. He was out of position for the whole match.
Mistakes happens, especially when you get left exposed so many times due to lack of team support.
This loss certainly isnt on the cbs, they did quite well, given the situation.

Its not just this match hummels has been clumsy for a long time now and made plenty of brainfarts.
Had palacio scored in that WC final most would have acknowledged that hummels is terribly error prone.

He took a risk because Chicharito wasn't properly covered and there was no support. Mexico played one pass and was through. In hindsight it's always easy to say what was right and what was wrong, but had he not done it then Mexico would still be countering us dangerously.
