They actually can play much prettier than the video above. If you watch them demolish Hungary (it was 5 or 6 to 0) in 2010 just before the World Cup, you can see they can move the ball slickly along the ground. I have a feeling the pitch above isn't that great, because they chop almost every ball.

But they must've made a decision just before the World Cup to play more defensive against offense-minded teams like Spain. Disappointing, but then, most teams go defensive in the WC, unfortunately.

the main difference is that van der Vaart is playin instead of 2 DM's.. at the WC the dutch were playin with van Bommel and de Jong.. after all the critics in Holland van Marwijk started to play with van der Vaart..

you can say the same for Argentina.. at the WC with Maradona they were playin 4-1-5 or somethin and just look at them now..
