Personally judging from our problems, he won't make a big difference. Nobody says we can rely on Pique who is off form the last 2 years, Mascherano a defensive midfielder who doesn't work as CB, and obviously Puyol with his injuries and Adriano who is injury prone too and isn't simply a CB and Bartra who is not convincing at the moment.But, that doesn't make Sakho look good, people are so desperate for someone that are comparing him to our bad defenders, we talk generally of what player is he.
If you are telling he is a steal why he can't have a place in the PSG defence when Alex who is average is ahaid of him? Its not only about one season, you can use the excuse that he gets minutes but he's never trusted in big games. Always in the bench for the champions leauge games. He was rated to improve much back in years but right now he hasn't shown any sort of improvement. Not to mention that because of his bad attitude and our defensive problems that we can't rely on the bad Pique, he''ll be the one playing the most and have the weight of defence, and without any serious competition he won't work hard. You are expecting much more things than this player can offer.
Im and i still am always of the opinion that we need 2 CB's but right now what can we expect? I'd even get Mathieu ahaid of him who has the right mentality for it. Him and one young defender with potential would be fine, to give competition for Pique also. Everybody including myself wanted something better than than, but at the current moment this is what we have.
