    Default commentators

Thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread to discuss/share different commentators and your opinions on who you like/don't like, and also you can post recent commentary quotes/videos that you like. (of course commentary in any language)

Well, you guys are able to comment on your commentators basically.

my favourite pairing is the Kevin Keatings-Gerry Armstrong duo. this pairing is usually the main ones for sky i think, sometimes though rob palmer replaces kevin keatings. allthough both are equally efficient,i like keatings's voice more. it encapsulates the passion and craze of a goal very ideally for me.

here's a video, i'll post others when i find them

he's a goltv commentator, passionate as they come.

what makes him so good is his wild use of metaphors which are usually funny as fuck too, he occasionally goes like "AHHHH1!!" every time there's a good pass/goal scoring opportunity.

edit: ROFL i totally misunderstood your post, didn't even watch the video

Does anyone know who this commentator is?

It's my favorite commentator ever, and it bothers me that I don't know who he is XD

Kevin & Gerry for Sky are my current favs although there is a French duo for TF1 that I really enjoy, as well

Ray Hudson is unique for the obvious reasons and in general I'm a big fan of hearing him, problem is it comes with a large caveat - Phil Schoen...He's a douche of the first order...I can't take him anymore than I can Andy Gray, tbh

Gerry is great and very precise in his comments
Paolo Maldini - "In my opinion, Messi should win the Golden Ball each year. He's an unbelievable player."

totally agree there, he talks a lot of nonsense... things you would expect a kid to be spotting on the field, and sometimes he just doesn't stfu

If it weren't for the fact that GolTV is a rinky dink operation compared to ITV or Sky, Andy Gray hate threads would only be exceeded by those for Schoen...He's an idiot and the not shutting up part is spot on...Often times, he merely says things to get a reaction it would seem...Intentionally diverting the attention from a match to something entirely irrelevant...In particular, if Barca plays he is invariably going to pepper the telecast with many comments about Mou or RM...I mean, why?

Strangely enough, he does come off as a likable chap in interviews and is effusive in his praise of Ray who, himself, is never shy from putting Phil in his place - on air!
