Barcelona will not try to sign Carlos Vela from Los Angeles FC.

The Mexico international emerged as a surprise option for the Catalan side, who are in the hunt for a new striker this month.

After LAFC insisted they have had no contact from Barcelona, Mundo Deportivo says the Catalan side have ruled out the possibility of signing him.
