The Bundesliga's a quality league, it's the most competitive major league in Europe and stands a decent chance of gaining an extra CL place next season if the German clubs out-perform Italian sides in Europe. Germany also has some of the best stadia and supporters in Europe and I foresee a major resurgence in their clubs' fortunes over the next few years.

Agree completly there are quality teams in the Bundesliga, Wolfsburg, Bayern, Werder, Hamburg some great teams.

If he kicked Gerrard he'd have been as big a legend as possible, but at the same time he would have been deported cause Gerrard is the Ferguson of the EPL players, totally untouchable, he can do anything and get away with it, hack players, dive, you name it. Lampard gets away with a lot less. He's actually been sent off, like Liverpool last year, and Gerrard deserved to be sent off, but did he? No. Lampard does a lot less wrong and gets away with half of it. Gerrard gets away with minimum 80% of what he does.

Lampard's goal against Sunderland put him equal 5th in our all time top scorers list, equal with the legendary Jimmy Greaves, one of the all time greatest finishers. Fantastic achievement for a midfielder, since all the other guys in the top 5 are strikers.

Seems like Ancelotti might favour a Christmas tree formation over the diamond if the Sunderland game is anything to go by... Not too sure right now, but if he does he could probably put out a better team than if he used the diamond IMO, we definately have the players for it.

That lineup could easily murder many a team, since also in an instant we could change Joey and Yuri(or Kalou/Malouda if they are playing) to the wings if needed, and even though Yuri is naturally a left sided player I think he could play in an attacking midfield position behind the striker since he's a fantastic dribbler. What's good about this formation for us is the versatility when it comes to the players. Ballack, Lampard, Deco, Kalou and maybe Malouda can also play in the positions behind the strikers, with Mikel also slotting into the midfield 3 if needed, as well as how I also mentioned we could change to a 4-3-3 in a flash. With Joey and Yuri playing they could consistently change from the centre to the wings throughout the match and cause a bit of a problem for the opposition defence. If I were Ancelotti I'd use the Christmas tree for sure.
