He never stopped being a very good player. The talent has always been there.

At Chelsea, he doesnt really have anyone consistenty creating chances for him, nor does the style of play suit him.

He had plenty of goalscoring chances with Chelsea and plenty of laughable misses..playing at the World Cup injured has had a bad effect on him though and only recently he looks like he might regained his pace.

With La Roja, he has Xavi, Iniesta, and Silva to supply him and he can use his pace to beat the defenders.

Yes, Torres has Xavi, Iniesta and Silva to suply him with Spain and yet he has a worse goalscoring record with his NT then Messi or Cristiano, who are constantly being criticized although those 2 have Gago, Masche, Brana/Meireles, Veloso, Moutinho to support them.
