People had expected to win La Liga and CL with turtle Busquets, Trash Raki & Gomes, old Iniesta. How bad was our midfield ? It wasnt his fault, he is a great coach.

Calling Rakitic trash lol. How about current De Jong? Trash also?

And same people expected Valverde to win treble with the same midfield???

Let be honest, it is Messi that sets that high expection.

We should have sold Rakitic after the world cup to PSG for 60 mil. Perfect time. That was the moment to milk the best value our of him. Same as Mina.

Before Lucho: Bayern 7-0

:lucho: : Barca 3-0

After Lucho: Bayern 8-2

GOD :worthy:

Imagine winning the CL with:

An Instagram Merchant as your defender

Mr. Cry At Halftime as your Left Back

An overrated tree as your defensive midfielder

The backpass merchant as your central midfielder

The walking simulator as your star player

Truly the GOAT :worthy:

.

This team has been finished since 2013. Lucho actually managed to fool us into believing otherwise.

Luis Enrique was maybe the one person who did the most damage to the club in the latest years.

By relying too much on MSN, making them more free, and tweaking the system in order to use them in more favorable situations, he lost more and more of the basics, and instilled the thought that Barcelona doesn't really need to control the ball, they win anyway, and it's more fun to trade chances and to let the forwards make a lot of mistakes, they will score one, too! This worked okay with MSN, and with the rest of the team based very largely on what Pep had developed, but in the long run, things were lost.
He could/should've been kicked already in 2014, but because of the 2015 treble he bought himself more time to destroy things. Nota bene he wasn't playing bad football or anything, he just was a short fix, who shouldn't influence too much in the long run.

He left a mess for Valverde, who tweaked it even more in the same direction, but then he really didn't have the players to play any other way, at least he used Messi to his fullest in that system, and brought some trophies.
Koeman have, by chance, players in order to play the way Barcelona should play. But he won't, can't and doesn't want to.

luis enrique got lucky that the bayern side we faced were ridden with injuries and that messi's magic bailed him out with 10 mins to go. plus that bayern team was managed by guardiola who sucks in the CL (he'll probably win it this year tho). he is an above average manager imo
