He's hit rock bottom at this point, what a sad fucking sight. He's also leaving the team in shambles.

I have to turn listen to the likes of Steven Gerrard of all people on punditry say Barca are weak and there a too many players on this team who don't deserve to wear the shirt. Feels like a fucking nightmare.

The best thing Lucho has done this season is announce that he is leaving so that the fans can actually have some positive hope for the future.

The way he neglected La Masia and took pride in playing Mathieu, Gomes, Arda etc. after these players continue to fuck up week in and week out is disgusting. It's horrendous how he treated the likes of Vidal, Munir, Grimaldo, Sandro, Samper, Alves etc...Players who deserved to be treated with a lot more respect.

We've been humiliated in the Champions League multiple times and gifted La Liga to Real Madrid like a charity. On top of that we've spent massive amounts of money to regress the team to a joke level.

Allowing things to get this bad so unacceptable and disgusting. Lucho should just walk now.

The biggest Mystery of all is signing Alcacer (who like everybody can see can't hold a candle to Munir) despite knowing that he has not enough balls to rest MSN and actually make some mininmum sense of this catastrophic signing, one of many.

Signed Alcacer from a club that had Mendes pawprints all over. Don't need to spell it out really to see whats going on. Someone is getting some extra cash on the side for these deals that leave us in terrible positions.

He did bring trophies, statistically he is a success, but yesterdays game is everything that needs to be said. From Juve to Juve. Yes, this is different Juve on paper but more or less in same category. Dominant in Italy and just outside top 3 in Europe. 2 years ago we were favourites, we dominated and beat them easily, yesterday we were massacred and it's good it ended with ONLY 3:0. Only 2 years have passed. It's some time in football but not nearly enough for this kind of difference.
You can have good and bad days but the way we "play" is strange to say at least. Amateurish stuff, no team in top 200 defends like we, without marking, without entire team movement in defence, without any plan. Just hoping last 3 defenders will somehow take the ball. We attack slow, without of ball movement just waiting for some magic from Messi to get a chance. We needed couple of "out of this world" Messis ball to create 2 chances yet Juve created by passing a ball to the closeset player. Even teams in croatian league don't play like that. This has nothing to do with adding Veratti or someone, this is complete system failure. I don't know why is that, even how can that be, but it's either Lucho or a complete team overhaul is needed.

We still have some chances to turn this and win 3:0 or 5:1 in the 2nd leg.

But then again, we'll do "Arsenal" and lose 0:4 in semis against Bayern again.
So, what's the point in trying with this hot and cold team anymore?

Agreed!

Another sore point for me is the complete lack of threat on set pieces. While other teams can hoof it into the box and make something happen aka score we look like complete Guinea pigs running around playing short passes back and forth.

We have lacked an athletic component since Rijkaard left and it sucks.

Honestly this team is in downfall for the last 5 years. From the moment Pep left we had just ONE great season and that is 2014/15 and even in that year we had problems in first part of the season. We need to rebuild from the scratch!

Only Messi, Busquets, Pique, Umtiti and maybe Suarez are untouchable for me right now. My opinion is also that Alba is a great LB, he is just in a bad form right now so I would keep him as well. About all others we can talk about. I love Neymar but even he is for sale if that means we would get enough money for general improvement of the squad.
Guys who for sure have to leave are: Arda, Mathieu, Denis, Rafinha, Gomes and Paco but we all know that Gomes and Paco will stay and probably even Denis and Rafinha for at least one more season so that is not realistic.

Realistic squad for next year would be:

GK: Ter Stegen, Cillessen
RB: NEW RB, Vidal
LB: Alba, Digne
CB: Umtiti, Pique, Masche, NEW CB
DM: Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Samper
CM: NEW CM (has to be world class), Rakitic, Iniesta, Gomes (unfortunatelly), Alena/Denis
LW: Neymar, Deulofeu
RW: Messi, Munir/Rafinha
CF: Suarez, Paco (unfortunately)

Will this be good enough I don't know but it's realistic. What is sure it's the fact that without a great manager and at least 4 new players (CB, RB, CM and winger) we will be even worse next year.

Didn't Unzue fix the header malady in 2015?

During the treble season, yes.

Barca conceded fewest goals from set-pieces.

Gomes was his choice. Licho also wanted a 9. It's on both him and robert.

When we signed gomes and a lot of other players most of the forum was happy and thought it was a good job.

Hyporcritical that the majority of the forum now says that he should not have been bought in the first place.

Buying gomes and paco were not the fault of the club. The fault was to keep playing them gomez and again at crucial moments even after showing repeated mediocrity.

No one here is paid millions to do that job. They are. So there's absolutely no problem in criticizing that. If it's not the club's fault those players were bought, who is it then? Neymar's?
And who should be played? Rakitic and Iniesta? All the time?

There is never a 100% chance that a player will do well when is bought. There are always chances. And right now browsing this forum one may get an impression that most were in dissaproval when he was bought and it was crystal clear how terrible he was, like douglas. He was bought as a sudden surprise and everyone here was really happy with the transfer.

You yourself used to say that he was a great transfer considering he is a proper CM, a hole never been filled since xavi left. He turned out bad but the blame should be for keeping playing him all the time even after playing so many bad matches in crucial moments.
