why couldn't Ronaldo send them to extacy before Modric and kroos arrived ? ..Answer is there . Ronaldo won fuck all for Madrid even with peak ozil , Di maria and Xabi Alonso . All he won was a league title (under jose mourinho , one of the greatest of modern era ) and a CDR .. in 4 years before Luka and kroos arrived . Now for Messi he has won us La liga title , CDR with Ernseto valverde as our manager , who hasn't managed a top flight club before he came . Andre Gomes , Paulinho , 34 year old Iniesta and 30 year old Rakitic forms the crest of our midfield , that midfield is noway near the explosiveness of Di Maria -Ozil -Alonso supporting caste .

Nop ,let me correct . Portugal won euro 2016 with granny Ronaldo being carried by Renato sanchez and co . Beaten one of the best French side ever with that granny sitting in the bench

Modric has 4 CL in 5 years, three in a row, is playing WC final with croatia, and RMU Reborn is saying that he cant be same level as xavi because he didnt have top performances in EL classico ( 2 matches in whole season) and in la liga, where real and barca are trashing most opponents, ok.

When xavi reached his peak? Modric was top midfielder in spurs already, just because they didnt won PL or CL doesnt mean he wasnt great.

If Madrid was trashing every opponents they wouldn't have finished 15 points behind Barcelona with goat midfielder Modric playing for them . Same was the case in 2012 as well . Getting molested by la liga teams at Bernabue was a familiar sight in Mou's last season and Zidane's final season . Even Under Tata Barca finished above Madrid . That's a shame with Madrid having Mou , Ancelotti and Zidane under helm . So that's why Cl shouldn't be the only criteria to judge a player . If Modric was as good as Xavi and iniesta he would have lead Rm to league titles combined with Cl . That's the true test of character and fitness, to dominate domestic and european football . Xavi did that , Iniesta did that . Modric unfortunately isn't at their level . It's ok you can live in denial

Na he wasn't anywhere near xavi's level playing for Spurs , you can keep on bitching bullshit. Modric will never reach Iniesta's level let alone Xavi's . Keep living in denial

True, Modric has been class for a long time now, he was excellent for Spurs and many top clubs were interested in him, i believe.
He didnt suddenly become world class in 2013.

2013 was the only year Modric wasnt worldclass. He needed that one year to accustom the new league but after 2013 he was beyond world class. In Real Madrid he reached an another level, same class like Xavi who has Iniesta, Messi and Busquets on his side. With them its much easier to dominate a game, put Modric on this Barca Side and they would have been unstoppable.

True that Modric didn't had someone of Messi and iniesta's calibre to dominate domestic and european football simultaneously . All he had was a poacher . Modric made him relevant in European football . Bang on

Xavi was a level above Modric. Makes you realise how much of a great Xavi was if he can be a level above a wonderful midfielder like Modric.

When you speak about Xavi you speak about passing perfection. And the pass is at the base of all team sports.
