If we don't then Busi, Raki will be overplayed, and the CL is literally about to start, very difficult fixtures coming up, need to rotate right now.

Are you actually suggesting Valverde should start a game without Rakitic? Do we have a friendly this weekend or what?

Just too many matches in a row. Rakitic and vidal should each play part of the match at most. Other minutes have to be alena, oriel or samper

According to Miguel Rico Samper could join Iniesta and Villa at Vissel Kobe next season.

Don't think going to Japan is the right move at this point of his career, he should sign with some low/midtable La Liga team and try to build his career from there.

He has already tried this twice and didn't really work well for him.
At the end, he knows he is unlikely to build any legacy as footballers so why not aim for collecting biggest pay checks? It isn't like there is no come back from there to Liga

Maybe he will do the Paulinho and keep his work ethic high and actually improve in China. He was bossing Juventus midfield in that summer game before the injury, talent will always be there.

In a friendly?
Did he play 3 good games in his senior career (including loan spells)?

Some will get offended, but Samper is probably not good enough for any La Liga team.

He was probably never that good, tbh.
He was a teen in years when:
1. Pep's Barca was rulling the world
2. when everything from La Masia was considered to be a pure gold
3. when La Masia's youth midfielders were believed to be Gods
4. Xavi said that Samper is the next Xavi
5. in general, those were the early days of social media and people were even less cautious than today (and even today, people are far from cautious)

Arsenal's interest for him was probably a mix of:
1. Arsenal being Barcelona's copy
2. Wenger being delusional and too obsessed with underage players
3. everything mentioned above about Pep's golden years, La Masia being a factory of aliens back then, unreal hype and similar

He could definitely have been a decent Liga midfielder. Maybe Roque Mesa level of player.

Talent was there, but his weaknesses were obvious and the injuries didn't do him any favours.

He was on loan at Granada when their whole team was a mess and he started well at Las Palmas under Paco Jemez before he got injured.

I think if he could stay healthy (which is a big question mark) he could easily play for teams like Leganes (Gerard Gumbau has played almost 1.000 league minutes for them this season), Rayo or Huesca.

But you're right, based on his injury history probably no La Liga team would offer him a 4-year contract so he'll get more longterm stability and he could play under former Pep's coach Juanma Lillo and together with legends like Iniesta and Villa.

There's no way they're offering him monster wages to play in the J-League. He's not a star with international appeal.

They could still pay more than lower table La Liga teams.

BTW, Samper could already join Vissel Kobe in coming days. J-league has just started so they prefer to get him now and he's negotiating with Barça to rescind his contract. Don't think there should be any problems about that, just let him go.
