Ronald Koeman

- 2 minute phone call with Suarez (and I believe Vidal too) telling them they need to leave and are not in his plans. If they refuse, their contracts will be terminated.
- Meeting he had with Messi did not go well, most people are assuming it's because he told him the truth (about this squad and how we're past it)
- Has said both Griezmann and Coutinho are in his plans. Keep in mind they are not part of amigos squad and I would even argue are not in best of terms with amigos
- Has said other players like Raki and Umtiti are free to leave too

If new president comes in, then he is most likely fired. You don't mess with the messi mafia and come out alive.

Thanks! From what you described above, perhaps Koeman could have handled the messaging to Suarez etc. better but I don't see anything wrong with what he did overall, the direction I mean.

If Messi doesn't like it, he can leave. And I hope a new board will not just do everything just to placate Messi. Otherwise they will not be much better than Bartomeu.

No one ever suggested Messi wanted him gone, or that Koeman job in jeoperdy.
Yet the forum de amigos are working overtime trying to sell it :coffee:

Messi holds too much power, he can certainly do it. Let's wait for the show to unfold. I hope he doesn't want it ofc.

It's pure speculation but if Messi forces Bartomeu to resign and a new / temporary board is established, there's a good chance they will try to keep Messi as happy as possible. According to earlier reports, Messi didn't like what Koeman told him. Suarez may stay. It depends on what Messi wants exactly.

No player, including Messi should be dictating or deciding the direction of the club such as who to hire as the manager and the plan of the manager etc. If he doesn't like it he should leave.

Not a Koeman fan at all but Messi is not over the interest of the club.

Hold tight and don't bulge an inch. A spine is more valuable than any job in the world.

If you are sacked, then so be it. Then hold a press conference and spill the beans on this so called "captain" who thinks he is bigger than the club.

My hero he is already the best manager we had
In the last ten years.
Keep it up my man.

With Messi:
1. We will keep amigos
2. End 2nd in La liga
3. Lose 5:0 or 8:0 in a CL

Without Messi:
1. We will start rebuilding
2. We won't win La liga and a CL either way

People who want to keep Messi at all costs: this is not 2011 or 2015 anymore.
He is 33, declined, he wants amigos and Lautaro.

He will leave this summer or the next summer.
We won't win anything with or without him.
Without him and amigos, we will at least turn the page.

If he stays after this, players will be forced to pass to him even more since he is obviously the owner of Fc Barcelona.

Pretty much. It's time to start rebuilding after what Messi did today.
