And sorry, but I prefer a lineup without him... especially under Del Bosque, when he's in the starting 11 it's as if everyone plays for him, hate it. And of course Villa, who can cause he's much superior as an all-round striker, has to sacrifice himself for the pecoso...
and let me say it, ask my Liverpool friend Katia, he's (Torres) a total asshole. Has no respect or time for his fans... douchebag.

Btw, re Villa, RFEF, FIFA, and UEFA give him tied with Raul, 44 gols... why does the raulista media keep saying 43? gilipollas...
we're not getting married anymore, Torres has come between us Villa is such class though compared to Torres recent form.

As for not making time for his fans, being a dick, whatever, from what I have seen and heard that is not true. Read a ton of stories about fans who have met him and they say the complete opposite.

    whatever you say dude

Anyway, hope everything is just as positive for the Argentina match, won't be as easy of course and I won't really be invested in either side since it's just a friendly and I want Messi to score too But hopefully everyone stays injury free once again.

He is not overrated as I have told you before in the PM,I never rated Torres ahead of Villa but that doesnt mean that Torres is overrated,he is one of the best strikers in Europe(when fit),David Villa is used to be one of the most underrated players in Europe and only lately he began to get the credit he deserves because of the WC and his 40m move,I disagree with you saying that Villa is better when Torres is not playing,Villa always plays well when Torres is on the pitch, the WC proved that(even when Torres wasnt fit),when Torres is on the pitch this gives Villa more freedom to move,he even scores more goals than Torres when he plays on the left wing,Torres is not overrated but that doesnt mean that he is better than Villa,I know that you adore Villa so much but that doesnt mean that all of the other forwards are overrated,P.S. can you give me further information about that 43-44 goals stuff

Torres was non-existent at the WC...it would have been better if Spain played with 10...Xavi was also well-below his best,Cesc was not 100% not even Don Andres was 100%...truth be told..Spain won the WC without exceeding half of their potential and controlled games throughout...Spain at 80% are at least twice as good as the second best national side in the world...fact...

By winning another Euro they will more or less seal their place as the best national side ever...

Are all Asturians as awesome as you, Villa, Lucho, and those guys who run one of my favourite restaurants in Barcelona?

Any truth in the rumour that Spain watched highlights of Scotland and are fearing the worst? I think there is something with Puyol, crying off injured so he does not have to face the best forward in world football, Kenny Miller

    Agreed with Tonio.
"Torres giving Villa space". This somehow reminds me of Ibra boys giving credit to Ibra for just standing there and "making Messi look good". Like his presence itself is enough. Of course the central forward is to draw some attention from the markers. It´s not like Spain would play with 10 men if Torres is not in the team.
What about Llorente then? Everyone noticed how they looked better with him playing.
Torres is a great player when on form but Llorente deserves to play more.

    ^ Nods.

What really baffled me during the WC was del Bosque's unwillingness to bench Torres for Pedro, or even more so Llorente.

The first two games were good indicators imho. that Torres was not going to have a stellar WC, thus he should have been benched for the favour of others and team performance should have always been first. It's a somewhat moot argument now, given Spain had won the WC despite of his dip in form.

However, I believe people would have been all over del Bosque and Torres had Spain faltered due to his finishing.

It was lichenstein, so I'd hoped Del Bosque would start with onyl alonso or busquets. I wanna see fabregas, xavi and iniesta together on the midfield, but I guess I won't.

Torres when fit is death incarnate for opposing defences...but yeah Llorente deserved more playing time at the WC since Torres was a shadow...and now during the qualifiers he should get some as well...

World Cup final last 35'...awesome display by all 3 of them...same applies to the QF against Paraguay...the notion that the 3 most technically gifted and intelligent players on the planet can't work together is simply absurd...

Some quality goals last night from Spain. Lovely finish from Torres, super strike from Villa. I can't wait until he overtakes Raul, in such a short amount of time as well. Spain v Argentina on Tues should be good, it's on tv here as well so definitely going to watch that.

This I agree with though, Torres had no business being on the pitch during the WC, he was massively unfit. So unfit that he injured himself quite easily in the final. But if he is on form, then he should be there, such as now.

When everyone on Spain is 100% on form, they're virtually unplayable. World Cup wasn't even Spain's best and they were still too good.
