    Default Spain

Were 2-0 down against Macedonia but a clever header from Torres, a goal from a rebound off the post by PIQUENBAUER and an absolute screamer from Albert Riera have put La Furia Roja up by 3 goals to 2.

    plagiarist

but yeah how unfit/unhappy is villa? didn't look himself all match and was cack the last time I saw him (at old trafford a week ago) as well. spain look better now he's off.

xavi has been the man as always.

a bit like england, macedonia's goals were defensive mistakes. the defending wasn't the best but reina should have never let the second in and should have come out and swept the ball away for the first.

GLORIOUS tackle from piqué just now. whadda player!

Imagine if Spain had lost to Macedonia. That would have been unbelievable.

God doesn't pick football teams but if he did.... they'd probably look like this

Bad news Edward, watching the images at the end of the game it appears that Fernando Torres is about to be kidnapped by local youths if he doesn't give them his shirt.

    riera has a problem.

when everyone is fit, he's competing against silva and iniesta for a place in the team.

and he's not as good as either of them. he's more physically direct and robust than both of them though and I think del bosque likes that, but iniesta is magic and silva is too (and was brilliant tonight).

even if he doesn't make the first XI though I think he's definitely attacking sub #1 or #2, it's him or cesc really.

as far as I'm aware he's only played 45 minutes of football before this - unless valencia had any games after the old trafford one where villa got his first minutes of pre-season?

anyway he's nowhere near match-fit, and obviously the two failed transfer sagas and the broken promises are playing on his mind. the poor bastard.
