    Default Spain

But still... 5 of out players called up for the match vs. England.
And for the first time: Pique and Busquets!

Could someone translate what Piqué said ? He said something about Espanyol then everyone started laughing ..

Never knew Busquets had such a kid voice !

Putas indeed, for not calling up Valdes. Reina? Common...

He is currently leading the Zamora and is putting in solid performances every match, best goalkeeper in the Spanish League this season, if this didn't get him a callup in a friendly match then nothing will ..

Well I was thinking more along the line of that he's young compared to the likes of Palop, Canizares and he'll definitely compete with Reina to become Casillas's second in line.

Man the guy is 27 and he still didn´t get one single callup ... I mean look back at the seasons where we won La Liga, and CL .. don´t you think he deserved a callup back then, atleast just as a backup. I don´t mean to sound negative, but I doubt he will represent Spain ever .. Casillas and Reina will be the first two choice, and in the next year or two Asenjo could get in as well.

I agree, he`s not Buffon or Czech kind of GK but he still deserved to be on the list.

I don't see any option to put Valdes on this list. There are so many better Spanish keepers; Casillas, Reina, Asenjo, Toño, Almunia just to mention few. Valdes sucks and I think he can simply forget about his debut. It beats me how he still keeps his status as the first Barca goalkeeper at all. Spanish national team has a pallet of very good young goalkeepers to choose from.

Mirko, words can´t explain how much I disagree with your post

You make him sound like he is the worst keeper in the world, surely he is not the best .. but he has been consistent for so many years, crap goalkeepers don´t win CL titles and Liga titles, he makes some clumsly mistakes but still he is quite reliable and makes alot of saves on a good day. Plus he´s leading the Zamora so I don´t know what your on about.

P.S - I don't rate Toño, Almunia, and Asenjo better than Valdés (That´s just my opinion).

We had all Spain/Catalan midfield vs. Sporting. Busquets-Xavi-Iniesta
I`d like to think there`s still room for Fabregas
