According to Sport, he was suppose to start training on the pitch back in August but it's nearly October and he's still training in the Gym.

At this rate he will soon overtake Vermaelen, who is a professional hospital patient and occasionally plays a game of football.

I joked like a week ago that Dembele would be back before Rafinha and it turns out to be true.

terrible luck for Rafinha, he's going to be out longer than when he tore his ACL back in 2015/16 season.

Do we know how long he is out for?
Going by the original timeframe he was suppose to be back in Mid September, but setback after setback and he had to go back under the knife.

at this point who the hell knows, it's likely Dembele will be back before Rafinha at this point.

Santi Cazorla comes to my mind when we talk about prolonged injuries. The guy has not played football for 13 months now. While Rafinha is still young, he should be extremely careful with the recovery. There are plenty of examples of good players ruining their careers.
