Hope he can stay injury free and do well. Has been a decent squad player over the years and deserves a chance to play regularly and become an important player for some team.

What’s the point of getting rid of him on loan. He’s one of the best players in the squad.

He likely didn't want to stay as a backup option as this isn't the first time this happened.

I'm sure a number of teams would love to have him but are concerned about his injury history.

Would of been better to loan him without the renewal seeing as we have been spending about 4 years trying to get rid of him. Another long term injury and we will be stuck with him again next season. Disaster.

You realize it is driven by the club’s values right? He is a La Masia player and has always given his best to the club, the club is also taking care of him as well and won’t throw him under the bus because of injury problems he cannot control. He is part of the family.

I get what your saying but I don't agree with this stance. Rafinha has been with the club for over ten years which is enough loyalty from both sides.

According to Marca his release clause has dropped from 75m to 17m when he renewed his contract last summer. Doesn't matter much imo, we'll be happy to get 17m for him.

Would be our only real attacking CM if he stayed. We need a positive player like him with trickery and penetrative vision, but better.

Rafinha wont want to be a back up at this age but he is too injury prone to rely on for anything else.

Thiago back to play with his brother as a back up would be ideal for next few years but unlikely.
