    Default Rafa Alcántara

    RAFA ALCANTARA

    Born: 19th of February 1993
    Height: 177cm
    Nationality: Spanish
    Position: Midfielder

Rafa, like his brother Thiago, has spent last 4-5 years with the Barça cantera and is slowly developing into one of the promising midfielders. He has a fearsome shot and he likes to cut inside with his dribbling causing trouble to the opposition.

Recently Rafa played for the Barça B team in a friendly against the "Selecão" gaining lots of praise from the likes of Lucas Leiva, Alexandre Pato and Carlos Eduardo.

A one for the future as they say.

It would be great if he really is the business and we see him and his brother in the side one day

Looking forward to seeing this boy's development. Seems they have good footballing genes in the Alcantara family.

Kid is 17 which means the poachers will be moving in ahead of his 18th birthday in February to pluck him away

Except we don't need scoring midfielders since there are 3 strikers to do that job. We need more Xavis and Iniestas and if this kid can develope into one of those type of players then he's going to play, regardless of how many goals he can score.

Goals from midfield are like golddust, every team needs them IMO.

iniesta used to be a goalscoring midfielder. we'll see how his goalscoring will be in barca b and then we'll make an evaluation

Someone questions whether Guillem Laporta is a good player.
