Rafinha Alcantara

Article is just saying that Celta wants him on loan not that we will actually loan him. I think we'll keep him until end of January to see how he'll do in trainings and Copa games before deciding what to do with him. His future also depends on who else will leave in January (Deu, Vidal?).

I doubt there is any club really willing to pay serious money for Rafinha just coming back after longterm injury.

Why the F Barca always loan...

Mostly because we pay extremely high wages. Look at the number of sales we make. Its very rare. Its loans more often than not. By loaning them out, we share the wage costs with the club that loan the player. Players almost never are willing to take a steep pay cut, even for more playing time, so loan is the go-to solution.

Virtually all the top clubs loan players out.

Nothing unique to Barca despite way it is made out at times.

It is nothing to do with high wages.

We need to loan players to gain experience and to not regret losing them
Players like Rafinha, Denis, Vidal, Gomes and Delofeu are good players but not good enough for Barca
They already got their chance and did not prove they are Barca players who will be next first team starters
Offloading them is the right way not to loan them

Its not about right way or wrong way though. The reality is that a club like Celta absolutely will not pay the wage of these players and the players will not accept any significant pay cut. Only clubs with plenty of money will accept taking on their salaries.

No matter what you think of Rafinha, having him back will be a boost to the team. I don't think he was ever as bad as Gomes.

Seems to get better the longer he is not playing according to some on here. Will have zero effect and should be sold.

Vermaelen didn't play for over a year and still a good squad player. Pretty sure Rafinha will remain useful too as he always has been.

According to rac1, Rafinha is considering an swift exit as he was disappointed not to be in the match squad vs Celta.
