There was an offer of 25 million apparently, but our board was greedy and wanted 35 million as was the first deal with Inter. So everything fell through and Rafa came back to Barca.

There was 50M offer for Gomes apparently, and big offer for Munir etc etc etc
The moment Roma agreed to sell Radja to Inter we were fucked

Sort of. The issue was that Inter agreed to buy him if they reached the CL for 35m then went back on the agreement citing no money. They then bought Nainggolan for more than that amount. Can't blame the board for then not taking 25m. It would set a bad precedent. For example, the Yerry Mina deal that proceeded might be less if teams know we can be negotiated down after agreement.

What the board can be blamed for is using MD to pump our sales prospectus with blatant lies. If there was 50m on the table for Andre Gomes then we would of taken it. In the end we took a last minute loan which is luckily working out great.

Good luck and a hopefully quick recovery.
He and Thiago should definately consider being mascots for any health insurance company after their active career.

Since he came back from his successful Celta Spell it goes like this.

2014/15-Had some injury problems but weren't really major that kept him out for long periods of time.

2015/16-He playing a lot more due to Neymar getting sick and with the departure of Pedro and the transfer ban. But it all came crashing down after he got annihilated in the CL match vs Roma away by Radja Nainggolan which left him with a torn ACL. He's out for 46 Games, only to suffer more muscle injuries when he got back.

2016/17-He gets a fresh start, but again he suffers from some pesky injuries. But once he finally got back, he became a starter under Lucho in the 3-4-3, as an RW option. However, despite that, it's completely short lived as he ends up suffering from a Meniscal Injury ending his season.

2017-18- Despite reports of him coming back in August, he's still suffering from the Meniscal Injury he picked up Back in April which would later force him to go under the knife again and he wouldn't be fit until December. Despite being fit he was not trusted Valverde much, so he went out on loan to Inter and had a pretty good time there.

2018-19-After Inter decided not to spend the money, Rafinha was torn between staying and leaving. He was close to leaving as he wanted Game time, and Betis at one point was a real option for him only for the move to not happen and he decided to stay. He was in limbo for a bit until he would later gain Valverde's trust, however despite that he would end up Tearing his ACL again, sideling him for the rest of the season.

Only 25 years old but suffered a lot since he came back here due to terrible injuries.

Barca should have loaned him to an EPL team. We could've got at least 40m for him that if he stays fit most of the season. He is jinxed with injuries at Barcelona but stays fit for when he playes for other teams.

He was always a mediocre player. A bench material at best, for sure not Barca material. He is just stealing minutes which should go to Demebele, Malcom or Alena.

How much of a cunt do you have to be to take shots at a player who wanted to leave the club in summer window and has suffered injuries his entire career. Pathetic. Its the manager who decides who he wants in his team and which players play.

The study is interesting but from what I gather, the sample size is small, so the results could be skewed.

Rafinha is expected to receive the medical green light next week and can take part in Barcelona's pre-season for the 2019/20 season. Barça are planning to sell him, although it is not ruled out that he could sign a contract renewal as he is a player of Valverde's liking. [Sport]

SMH.

They don't have money to buy Kubo, but they have the money to extend Rafinha.

Better than Roberto on the wing. Played well against Inter. Tbh i want him to stay as a squad player he knows the system. In all honesty when he played he was better than Coutinho that's the honest truth

Rafinha had his chances much like Denis. Time to let them go and have Alena and Carlos Perez take their squad positions.
