few reasons
1. He's TALL. He's more than 1'75 m, which would make him the tallest attacking player in the team. In fact even if Villa takes up Bojan on his back, Llorente is still taller than them!
2. He's Basque. That's enough to hate Madrid
3. He's sexy. He'll sell shirts.
4. He won't be that expensive, he won't cost more than 15M, well, and maybe plus few grenades and weapons for the basque cause.
5.He's good, one more world champion in the team, Just to piss off Madrid
6. Just face it, Barca have only one real straker, and that's Villa. Need some cover! And if Llorente hits a player in his face, he will break his nose at least. What is that Villa, when you slap, slap it hard, girl!
I can come up with another 50 reasons, but 6 are enough. WE WANT LLORENTE!
Llorente would be the tallest player in the squad if we bought him lol, but i think he's a good fit, we would actually have someone who can head the ball in the box when Alves and Maxwell cross it in, gets annoying when they keep crossing it high

All 3 gols this weekend came from centre midfield. Still think another striker was needed more urgently than anyone else after Ibra left.

actually what we needed (and what we needed last seasons too) was more gols from midfield. we got away without them in 08/09 because all our forwards just had ridiculous injury-free goaltastic seasons, but that doesn't happen regularly so you need your midfield to chip in. they already are.
another forward would have been nice, but really it would have been gilding the lily.

Chipping in with gols, not scoring all of them for you. Its Villa's debut season and already you will be massively reliant on him for scoring. Big risk.

all we've done since last season is replace zlatan with villa, and I back villa to match zlatan's contribution.
the pressure is on pedro and bojan to replicate/surpass their input from last season. and THAT is a question mark, for sure, but I have faith in them.

We shall see, but you have only one true centre forward who can score alot of gols - Villa. Bojan won't cut it, its a physical impossibility as he is a midget. So once again when it comes to playing a team with a physical backline, be it Inter, Chelsea, possibly Manchester, snow white and the 7 dwarfs will go missing again and history repeats itself, even if Messi again scores a bus load in liga.

it's not the physical backlines by themselves that cause us problems, it's when the physical teams park the bus. united didn't park the bus in the CL final and we took them apart, inter didn't park the bus in the group stages and got a shafting, etc. etc.
and even when they do park it, our success rate against them is about 50/50, which is the success rate you'd expect against other top clubs.
it's an overstated problem.
besides, speed of movement is the way to score against teams that park the bus and we have that in abundance now we've got rid of zlatan. the major problem is we let those ultra-defensive tactics slow our play down. it's a matter of mental focus. when we play quick (e.g. piqué's goal vs. inter, eidur's goal vs. liverpool, eto'o and maxi's goals vs. chelsea, etc.) then we score goals and win games regardless of the opponent's tactics. it just requires greater mental focus and clinical finishing on our part.
but if we get desperate late on and need a big body CF, we have piqué.
