They're making a big deal out of those 3-4 pictures taken (Marca / AS) and claiming that Pep's a dick for not shaking Moureen's hand etc.

There's actually a good post regarding this matter on t-otalbarca.

Well, I do have a problem with Marca and AS shit-stirring, while Sport and EMD are not being too far behind the two aforementioned.

It's just Spanish press' attempt to sell papers, nothing else.

It's going to be fun this year watching Jose eat his words.

After Cannavaro 2006, these individual prices are worth s**t. All you need to do is play a couple of good games at a world cup and the other 11 months of the year don't count anymore.

Up until now, if you take the whole year 2010 into consideration, the winner's got to be Messi. As my dad said a couple of days ago: "I've been watching football for over 50 years, but this year's Messi is probably the best I've ever seen."

Remember guys: This price should not go to the most successful player or a player of the most successful team, it should go to the best player. And what Messi showed from January to May (and he seems to pick it up again now) was out of this world.

messi didnt score a single goal at the world cup that alone voids him from the title.

Unfortunately you're right. And that sums up everything that is wrong with this price. The best player of the world cup has been awarded already. The Balon d'or should be for the best player of the whole year, not the best players of a few weeks in June.

No there is nothing wrong with that. World cup is the biggest sporting event in the world and there is a big difference beating lousy teams in la liga then the best defense in the world. Messi couldn't handle a tough defense.
