Thread: Guardiola and Mourinho on Ballon D'Or Candidates

  1. #1

Default Guardiola and Mourinho on Ballon D'Or Candidates

FC Barcelona coach Guardiola remained neutral in his predictions, saying simply that “there are many players on the list who deserve it”.

Counterpart Mourinho, however, was far more opinionated, and the Portuguese coach reckons that there is only one candidate worthy of the crown – his trequartista at former club Inter, Wesley Sneijder.

He commented: “I would give it to Sneijder before I give it to Iniesta. He is not a better player, but he played in the final of the World Cup and Champions League and completed the full season.

“Iniesta had a great World Cup but did not shine during the season. For me, second place should be Xavi.”

    Wow, Mou - 10 points.

edit: I meant he gets 10 points for: “Iniesta had a great World Cup but did not shine during the season. For me, second place should be Xavi.”
    Coming from RM coach...

    he's right though,

Iniesta was injured all year. Should be Xavi, Messi or Sneijder.
e should of done what Pep though, but its mourinho.

Because a Barca forum is going to be a Mourinho love-in isn't it? If you want objectivity you'll have to go elsewhere, madridista.

Since we had the WC this year it should go to someone who did well in the league, europe and WC.

De Jong for getting away with a beauty on a madrid player.

    Just saw this:

    MOURINHO, A REAL BIG MOUTH

“I know how to win Barça, I have won against them several times“

“Iniesta doesn’t deserve to win the Ballon D’or award…I would give it to Sneijder“

“Barça pretends to be nice and many people falls into that trap“

And after all this…he hugs Guardiola!

Platini forced Mourinho and Guardiola to hug, the most awaited image of the meeting.

Villa wants Raúl’s record. He’s just a goal away from Raúl’s record of 44 goals with the Spanish national team.

Did messi not play in a free role behind Higuain and Tevez?
