Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, then I remembered Roy Hodgson is now in charge. Not only does he seem like an extremely reasonable man - having no objections whatsoever to Mascherano's exit - he also wanted Hleb whilst he was at Fulham. Maybe he has forgotten he is no longer at Fulham and Hleb no longer looks like a high calibre type of player.

i hope Fabregas only come after 2 or more years as replacement for Xavi that will retired in coming years..and i don't really a busquet fan either..Keita/mascherano should start..

We’re the blue and claret supporters
It matters not where we hail from
Whether it's the south or the north
Now we all agree, we all agree,
One flag unites us in brotherhood.
Blue and claret blowing in the wind
    One valiant cry
We’ve got a name that everyone knows:

    BARCA, BARCA, BAAARCA!!!

With this Rosell-Zubizaretta combo it just looks less and less likely that we are ever gonna sign the players we need right now. Probably they are trying so hard to get a good deal that they are not making any deal at all. You gotta stop caring for paying 2/3 millions extra and seal your deals, which is much more important. Laporta did a swift job on the Villa signing. I don't know whether there is proper communication between Pep and the other high officials?

Certainly seems no deals are imminent and maybe the financial woes are impacting on our ability to do that.

    I voted Yes.
Imho, we need a holding midfielder (maybe even one that plays just in front of our defense), and at least 2 more defenders. Then we're complete.

    A back up right back.
    A back up center back.
A defensive midfielder who is the antithesis of Busquests.

I'm very mad right now that Ozil went to Madrid when he was available for so cheap. It doesn't look like we are after Mash either. I think the club hierarchy is going nuts...
