3 - Gerard Pique

Fucking moronic to play him through injury in an unimportant game. Under no circumstances should he play against Las Palmas. Rest him vs Atletico too if necessary.

Would trust Verm to perform against Chelsea if it came to it.

This is the whole reason we have players on the bench. Use them.

I say play Mina vs Las Palmas and Verm vs Atletico.

Let him freaking recover instead of turning a 10-day injury into a 3 week one.

For fuck's sake Vermaelen and Mina aren't fucking fourth division defenders. I understand Mina's a bit of an unknown at the moment but there's no excuse to play Pique through injury when Vermaelen, who has done well whenever he has played this season, including in high-profile games, is there. It won't be the end of the world if they play.

Dont know why he played when we had vermaelen on the bench who is more than capable to play. Valverde needs to protect our players from situations like these but it seems he doesnt care....

He said points in remaining matches count for more and thus implied he will be going strong until we are mathematically champions.

Shouldn't have played, valverde conservative ways could be our downfall, let's hope now.

Actually....there is nothing conservative about playing Pique if he thought there was a risk of injury.

If he hadn't played Pique and Mina would've let in a goal people would be shouting "@(#* conservative Valverde too scared to play Pique even though he played well against Chelsea and Pique himself said he could play"

When a senior player like Pique insists on playing, and the medical staff says he is fit, it is not surprising the manager will send him out there.

That said, I hope he stays home for the long trip to Las Palmas. Maybe Messi should have vacation for this one, too.

Yes. Playing Pique through injury isn't conservative, it's straight up moronic.

tbh, he is a good leader and def. a milestone in this team.
BUt damn, he looks so freaking clumsy when quick attackers run at him. He is so easy to pass in dribbling

valverde should not have played him if he had an injury before the game and he was not fully fit, hopefully is not injured for long and he does not miss the chelsea game
