Barcelona trail Clichy as courting of Cesc continues

Barcelona are ready to begin a second transfer saga with Arsenal after targeting Gael Clichy.
The Spanish giants are now believed to be on the trail of French left back Clichy, 24, which will annoy Arsenal even further as they battle to hold on to captain Cesc Fabregas.
And Barcelona midfielder Xavi yesterday risked further upsetting Arsenal by insisting that Fabregas should move to the Nou Camp as he has “Barca DNA” in his make-up.
Spain star Xavi said: “I’d like him to come, and I told him. He is a player with Barca DNA. I have no doubt that Cesc will triumph at Barca triumph.
“The stakes are very high, everyone wants to come to Barca and each passing year the team is better.”
Arsenal last week knocked back Barcelona’s first bid of £30m for Fabregas and they urged the Spanish club to start showing “respect.”
But it would appear that the Spanish club have no intention of giving up on Fabregas and if they go for Clichy as well then it may only serve to worse relations.
Barcelona want Clichy as well as they are believed to want to offload left backs Eric Abidal and Brazilian Maxwell.
Just seen this on Skysports. Thoughts?
Really hope Maxwell doesnt go. Dont care for Abidal though.

I think clichy would be good for us, he has loads of potential, but i dont really want him or need him at all

Actually, Clichy is good defensively but poor offensively. He cannot cross very well, you would be better off sticking with Abidal. Clichy is lightning quick though...
