Liga. I want both obviously but for a club as deep as Barcelona you NEVER sacrifice the league in the name of the CL, where there's a much bigger luck factor.

Also barring a miracle, if we lose the league next season we lose it to Real Madrid, and I really don't want to see Jose Mourinho get more praise.

I'd say Both, I have a really good feeling about next season. But if I had to narrow it down to one, I'd choose La Liga

Everybody would say both, that's bleedin' obvious, personally I always prefer to win the domestic league and then consider the cups. The CL always needs a massive amount of luck whilst you need to be consistently good over 38 games to win the league.

Teams write their name in history by their record in europe and european trophies won.

When people think of Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool, Ajax and Bayern Munich they do NOT think of their domestic domination in their era but only of their european success. When I think of Real and AC I think of their european domination.

Ask the ordinary Joe about one of those specific clubs and why you remember them, they will always say their european domination/success.

I do believe Barca are capable of dominating europe for a good while and if I was a Barca fan I'd want to win the CL time and time again to write our name in history.

Because when people remember Barcelona - they will not remember your domestic record but your european success.

I go Liga. To beat Madrid and Mourinho would be brilliant. If we don't win the title we know they will in all honesty. A CL would be nice as well though :D

Exactly. To be Champions of Europe far outweighs a domestic title, to say anything else is simply not true. Maybe Cules are trying to kid themselves that the liga is more important to compensate for their poor European history.

Our name is already written in history, we are probably the 2nd biggest club in the world, all things consider(history, players, honors Ext) and we have only won 3 CL titles.

People can to win the CL, because they know their team isn't good enough to win it over the long haul and for the hype.

nope. when you win the league you know that your team is consistent and you wont get worried the year after it. look at AC Milan for example, they won the champions league in 2007 and look how pathetic they were the year after it. they couldnt even finish in the top 4 in Seria F, and for sure getting knocked out by ARSENAL in the champions league. even when you look at it in the long term, they won 2 CL's in the last decade but theyve been nothing less than embarrassing in the league, winning it once in the last 11 or 12 years. look at Chelsea for example, theyve never won the CL but in the last 6 years or so the odds of them winning it were far more than AC Milan. at the end of the day AC Milan won it and Chelsea didnt. Milan were lucky and Chelsea weren't. Chelsea are winning a lot of trophies every year while Milan arent. Chelsea have 10 titles in the last 6 years and Milan have only 3. to say it better, Barca fans dont want the CL this year and nothing the year after it, we want at least the league next year and maybe the CL after it.

In conclusion, when your team wins the league you know that it wont find it difficult to compete next season, unlike winning the CL alone which always needed luck rather than consistency.

I am not saying your name is not written in history, nor saying that your aren't the 2nd biggest club in the world but european domination has only been achieved by a handful of clubs and Barca have the ability to achieve this and become synonymous with european success/domination - which tbf you aren't now really.

You will always be remembered for the 6 trophies, but there is an opportunity for you lot to really write barca's name in the history books for tangible greatness.

That is all I am saying really.

Champions league obv. To win that you have to beat the best of the best and is far harder to win.

In 20 years people won't remember when you won La Liga, they will remember when you won the CL. If you had won it twice in a row people would be talking about it for years, like the Milan side in 88-90.

Can you name each side that won the CL in the last 20 years? What about the teams that had a dynasty in their league?

Winning 3, 4 or even 5 titles back to back is something that goes down in your league's history, and people always talk about "the team of the xx's that won all those titles".

Winning 2 liga titles means nothing if madrid comes in now with mourinho and takes away the third. Pep needs to win the title this year. I couldn't care less about the CL. You come up against one team with radical tactics, and a few bad decisions from the ref, and you're out. The league on the other hand ALWAYS finds the best team of the season. And notice i said "season", not competition. The league is the true test.

I do believe Barca are capable of dominating europe for a good while and if I was a Barca fan I'd want to win the CL time and time again to write our name in history.

But we are sitting on 0 consecutive CL titles, with 2 league titles. How can we go for a dynasty in europe when Inter won the last CL?
