    So how do you see him fit in our squad? Selling our 2 backups is a must sooner or later, but what about valdes? both him and asenjo won't settle for backup..

    Maybe he can by matches played, but definatley not by keeper skills. Zubizaretta was the best in the world ! Valdes is average, but sometimes he really shines, like yesterday.

    He is definitely very above average. He's been in the running for the Zamora for about 5 years. And he's been alot closer than Casillas. All the while never having a great defense in front like some other keepers. And mind, how many keepers have excelled or us? He really deserves his spot despite the occasional blunder he makes, he is really valuable specially in one-on-ones just like we saw in the clasico.
