Gareth Bale

He is not past it. Maybe all the injuries have affected him a bit but he still looks very good for wales. Maybe he just has better chemistry with those teammates or being the main man on a team helps him alot

I never said he's past it of course he's still got great ability. I just think the expectation of seeing a Bale that was at Spurs previously is unrealistic really given the lack of continuity this year and his age. Just don't see him really being all too effective, we shall see though.

Obviously, if he can recover his level, Spurs front line will be frightening.

Such an underrated player. Ability to score clutch goals similar to Ronaldo. 2 decisive goals in CL finals at 1-1.

He's definitely not underrated over here in England mate. Skysports and BBC treated his return like the second-coming of Jesus Christ.

Underrated player? No, properly rated player.

Like what? Even if past his prime, he is a class player when motivated, with insane clutch potential like few other players. His time in Madrid was a very bumpy ride, but it wasn't always his fault.

Make a list with Real Madrid players who scored 3 goals in CL finals. See how short that list will be.

Well, if we relied on Bale for our goals, we wouldnt have made those finals, and he would never had the opportunity to finish it off.

One of the best players to have in a final, and tbf, he had good overall seasons like 13/14, 15/16 and the last half of 17/18, but lets not pretend as if he was actually consistent enough to really lead the team.

Still, easily worth the money, so again, properly rated player, not underrated.

Distefano, Puskas, Bale, CR7.

RM fans sure are a spoiled bunch.

:crbust:

They sure made it harder for Bale. Bale is obviously a nutcase as well, but somehow their fans never warmed up him even though his impact in their CL wins has been consistent.

Look at us, Roberto scored a CL goal vs PSG in the Last 16, not even semis or quarters, let alone 3 goals in the CL fucking final, and he's immortal , untouchable .

I know what you mean but c?mon, that was not ?just a CL goal?.

But he shouldn?t be untouchable because of it of course. I hope Dest keeps improving so Roberto can be a useful squad player.
