I was browsing through La Liga seasons as to find out when was the last time Barca won La Liga while scoring less than Madrid and not so surprisingly I had to come all the way down to 1959/1960. The season when Barca was managed by an author of famous defensive tactic Catenaccio.

Barca coach: 58/59, 59/60
Titles won: 58/59, 59/60

Two seasons, two titles. And those are even more significant when you look at this:
La Liga winners by year:

Story has it, that Herrera had words with Kubala and was forced to leave Barca.
One of the biggest mistakes in our history?

Herrera returned to FC Barcelona in 1980 but failed to repeat his first stint and eventually ended up his managerial career in Barcelona.
Anyway, Herrera thread was long due. One for the books.

Legendary manager. Had even bigger success in Milan, winning Inter 2 European Cups.

A real legend... his second time in Barcelona was not so good as the first, but even then, he left his mark... we can learn more of this legend in "Barça: people's passion".

Real Legend.

Inter fan and management regard him as the Best Manager ever to have coached Inter. He made La Grande Inter and all of our European pedigree came from this guy.

So you guys would agree that letting him go was one of the biggest mistakes Barca made?
13 long years the club waited for Primera title since he left.

Who knows? When he left Barcelona, between these 13 years, Barça won Uefa Cup (or better, the former UEFA Cup), went to 1961 final of champions in Berna... beasides... Inter was the winner of Champions '65 because the final was in Giuseppe Meazza in a game that Benfica dominate completely...
