I'm sure he loves the club despite what the naysayers claim. He's been at Barcelona since he was a ball boy. Since he was a little kid. Way before most of us here even were born
He just hates everything associated with Barca right now from top to bottom. People claim he only went to Man City because they got shitload of money, but the true reason he went to Man City was Txiki and Soriano. Two people he worked with at Barca and trusted 100%.
Had Txiki and Soriano been at Man Utd or Chelsea or Arsenal I believe he would have gone there.

Pep wont return as coach and ever inclined to wont do it now anyway.
He is not daft and knows he would have to cull players that played for him and their buddies.
Even in Peps time at the club even he could not have full control of Messi and things have got worse.
Barca doesnt become an attractive job for a top coach until amigos... including Messi.. are gone.
Then you have a blank slate, less dressing room politics, more room to implement ideas and potentially being seen as the saviour who got Barca back on top.

Totally different to getting rid of Deco, Etoo and Ronaldinho compared to players that have won more and under him and players that hold much more power in club than bakc then.
Pep would not even entertain trying to be the one to rid those lot and start now.

Did he work with Soriano here? IRRC Soriano left in summer of 2008

He is not coming back.
Even if board changes he is not coming.
He is not leaving the project at City midway, and he does not want to coach Barca first team again.
He has a specific philosophy about his jobs. He would not return to any club after leaving.

Pep would never in a million years come and try to rebuild Barca, he doesn't like the challenge. he takes the easy option every time. Bayern, City and next up PSG/Juve.
