Sammer mentioned that Heynckes could've stayed another year back in November 2012.

http://www.espnfc.com/story/1219489/jupp-heynckes-could-stay-at-bayern-munich-for-another-year

but you kinda said it. COULD HAVE. So it was a 50:50 or a higher chance that Bayern would stand there without no coach in the end, because they havent held talks with others. And then Guardiola said he wants to return from NY and coach again. So if they had waited for Heynckes to make up his mind at the end of the 2013 season and he'd said no thanks, then Pep would be off the market already and Bayern would have to go for motherfucking Mirko Slomka or something. Heynckes was never forced out for Pep, the day he said he wanted to retire after 2013 was the day were Bayern was searching for a replacement. If he says that he "COULD" change his mind, then this is not reliable enough. And even if he would have continued, then he would retire after 2014 season and then there would be no attractive manager on the market.

not quite sure what your point is. What are we debating here? His quality? His nobel prize nominations?

We're debating what the fuss is about Müller-Wohlfahrt for "Bayern fans to completely throw Pep under the bus". Is he a nobel prize winner? Does the Bayern squad possess a one of a kind healing process and injury (prevention) record compared to other football clubs? So, yeah, what's the fuss for Bayern fans to wish for Pep to leave over Wohlfahrt? Because Wohlfahrt is treating Usain Bolt?

Hoeness stated that he would've continued for another year after Pep's appointment was official, so it's more would've rather than could've. Of course, had he stayed, it wouldn't have been optimal with regard to planning for the future and the Bayern board sure had that in mind, but they still chose Pep over Jupp. After their Treble season, he didn't retire initially and left the door open for other clubs. I remember him being linked to RM at the time, but eventually he retired. Probably realised that he couldn't top that season in just one year with another team.

yes, he is special, no he has no nobel-prize, yes he has a one of a kind healing process (you already mentioned it in another comment), though he uses it only when its appropriate. There isnt really much of a debate going on about wether he is good or not, and no you cant just replace that guy 1:1, there might a couple of other good doctors around but do you think this Pruna-guy is spending his afternoon in front of the telephone with packed bags, waiting for the call from Rumenigge? And the fuss about Bayern fans siding with M.W. is simply because Pep is acting like a dickhead, mobbing their club stuff out.
https://vine.co/v/ezhLtxI7hnm
M.W. is not responsible for healing prevention or fitness, hes the guy treating the players AFTER their injuries, aswell as doing the rehabilitation program. If fitness problems occure then this is the problem of the coach's trainings-program aswell as the physios and of course the roation during the games (when the BuLi is basically voer you dont have to play the starting elven over and over again). Yet M.W. gets the blame for injuries aswell as the rehabilitation of Ribery. If Ribery is not yet ready to play, then he is not ready to play, if Pep or Rumenigge still want to use him, then the doctor just has to say no, everything else would be endangering Ribery.
Pep has already had earlier problems with M.W, because he was not ready to give up his private practice to sideline the training sessions and every match. In his protest Pep advised the injured Thiago to go to a "specialist" in Barcelona, instead of their own orthopedist. This guy then fucked Thiago up completely because he treated him with Cortisone injections (i suppose that you know what that is), as a consequence Thiago got fucked up multiple times during the rehabilitation process, which caused him to be out for around a year. If he had jsut stayed in Munich, then he would've probably been back in half the time.
M.W. considered a legend at this club, he spend his half life there, and now he quits, just like that and Pep is the driving force behind this. And just because he is "the Pep Guardiola" doesnt mean that this would be okay and Bayern fans should side with him instead because he is more important according to you.

Look, that vine which was posted by some disgruntled fan, claiming he was going crazy against the doctor's team.

Next up, every sports newspaper in Spain blindly takes up the story, without even watching the clip, and investigating what is going on. They are not even aware the people you see in the video are his assitent coaches, and not the doctors and/or physios.

That's how it goes nowadays, some idiot says something on social media, and 'journalists' (paid ones) just blindly take over... Bild already has it that apparently it was a discussion between Rumenigge and Wohlfart which triggered him resigning, as it was already in 2008 or 2009 when he also resigned after a clash with the board of directors.

Now, I'm not saying Guardiola is a saint, and I'm ok if press would paint him as a egocentric dick, or whatever, but just come up with facts then... Most of these sports journalist shouldn't be called journalists whatsoever..

The guy on the left is Domenec Torrent, that is the assistant coach, yes. The guy leaving into the cabin with long hair is Müller-Wohlfahrt himself. The story isnt just picked up, Guardiola was already asked about this. He said that he was just "disapointed" and not angry towards the doctor. (Looks more like hes mocking him sarcastically though)

I don't see anyone 'leaving into the cabin' ? There's only one guy you can see (Domenec) and one guy you can half see (also assistent). Which one are you talking about?

it means that he is obviously very demanded and therefor good. My dad is treating the players from our local club Hannover 96 and he knows M.W from several lectures during medicine congresses and he said that they wont find anyone even near the quality to that. Also replacing him means, that the new doctor would have aboslutely no clue about prior injuries and problems with several players. Müller Wohlfahrt knew every detail and can build patterns over long-term to analyze problems with injury-prone players, the new doctor will take a couple of years until he has that sort of feeling with the Bayern players.

Because why would anyone ever keep detailed records of injuries and recoveries...?!

ah my bad, the vine is not working on my computer, i watched the YouTube snippet, which goes longer.

there you go

Ok, thanks for clearing up... So, it may be the case he was doing ugly, still not decisive for me though (although likely). He used to lash out against Alexis also ('concha de mi madre'), so it could also be he was mad at the player for saying 'coach, i'm ok' and venting that out to his staff. But, the way Wohlfahrt runs off, yes, maybe the edge goes towards him having a lash-out at doctors.

Anyway, for me, it will take a statement from the doctor himself to clear that out. Because, even if he had an argument, Pep doesn't look like the guy who would hold it against him on the longer term. Maybe just heat of the moment.

Still holding my point on the press though, something is said on social media, they just blindly take over the 'story', without any investigation, any nuance in the story.

The guy leaving was Ueblacker, and it was from the match against Bayer Leverkusen.

and you are right about that. I did some further research because there was really this only video about that incident and i found this then:

The gesture was apparently directed to Sammer, and i am not sure who is the guy leaving there but apparently not Müller-Wohlfahrt, rather a guy imitating his haircut. Makes me wonder why Pep didnt deny this then, when he was asked about his gesture "to the medic staff" after the Benatia injury. Dont know what hes saying there to Sammer, maybe hes just talking to himself, but it's kind of a relief to see that at least this isnt as serious as it looks.
Still concerned over the statement of M.W., i bet we will never find out the exact reasons, he wont make a real precise, honest statement, he will just say something neutral like "it didnt work out anymore", instead of blaming someone in the media.

ah thank you, I knew it was from the Leverkusen match but mixed up the Müller-Wohlfahrt-haircuts there.
Ueblacker however IS part of the medical staff, but it doesnt look like he is the receiver of that gesture.
