Christian Eriksen

No signings for Tottenham whatsover. Wonder how they'll do? Either way if you're an ambitious player the lack of transfer activity has to be worrying.

Next year, sell Denis, Gomes and Rafinha and get Eriksen, if he doesn't renew. Another J. M. Bartomeu masterclass.

Impressive given he's played the same amount of minutes as someone like Kanté.

Could this guy be an option down the road once again? Apparently his contract will expire in June of 2020 and he does not seem overly keen to extend it. Should the board go for him this summer? Or try to make a deal with him next January so he can come for free in the summer of 2020?

Eriksen will turn 27 next month so he remains fairly young and he would have at least 3-4 seasons left at the highest level. Of course it is difficult to predict how our midfield will look like in the future but he is definitely a player that the board should be closely monitoring.

Hmm, interesting with the 2020 contract. This summer might be now or never for him to make a move. If he renews he'll be stuck at Spurs forever.

He'd probably cost at least 100m though.

If we sell Rakitic (which I don't think we will) we risk having too many young boys. It'll be Busquets and Vidal together with a bunch of inexperienced kids (Aleña, Riqui, Arthur and maybe Frenkie).

He will end up in Madrid together with Hazard.

Nah, not necessarily. If we enter the fray alongside RM, and match their money purse, he would most likely chose us.
With Cout here, I don't see us going all in for him, though. Especially considering the type of player we're apparently looking for in the likes of Rabiot and FdJ.

Most Spurs fans seem to believe he's off this summer in any case, and he seems ripe for a last step up. Exciting times ahead of him.

Saw this a few days ago btw.:

Nope. Like Coutinho he likes to go up and score goals whenever he has the chance to do so. He's not a CM either, more of an AM. For me, it was between Coutinho and Erikssen. We chose Coutinho, although maybe Erikssen would've been slightly better for a position in a midfield trio, but not by much.

Tottenham growing twitchy as Christian Eriksen stalls on latest contract offer

Madrid would make great business getting both Hazard and Eriksen this summer. Two prime players ready to improve the team from the moment they arrive.

Eriksen might be the Iniesta replacement we lack: final third passes and shots, plus he works really hard. He'd probably make everyone at Barcaforum happy. :valverde:

Would probably cost them 300-350m or so. And it's still a downgrade from prime Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo.
