I used to think we don't have a chance in bringing TS but IMO Madrid increased our chances after they
took Ancelotti from PSG
if the stories are true real should of paid around 7 ME but ended at 4 ME if they
paid any some say they didn't.

Now when TS moved they had a project and at the top was Ancelotti and he is gone TS has a good relation
with Leonardo
and our club should have a good relation with the Qatari owner we are advertising for their
country ever where for peanuts.

if we play our cards right and offer them around 40 ME with player pushing for the move I can see it going through

I have to agree to this part.
As for Real Madrid, they reportedly paid more than 4M according to our President (+2 matches with Real with the earnings coming to PSG exclusively).
For the advertising part, you have to know that PSG are the main advertiser of this country.
Our owner is the cheickh, we have a contract with QNB (Qatar National Bank), an upcoming contract with QTA (150M per year from their tourism office) and most of the time the term Qatar is more linked to France and Paris than Barcelona.

I'm a lttle happy today, rumours say that Leonardo emt Cavani representant. Seems that we have still strong ambition.

So, I'm asking you because you know more of PSG and their managment, money, transfer policy etc. than most of us do: Is there a REALISTIC possibility for Silva to join Barcelona this season?

In football, you can never say never.
Last year, Milan tifosi were saying that TS was their bandiera and it could never be sold. We all know what happened.
I do think TS would be pleased to play for Barça but there is very very little chances thi happen.
Contrary to Milan, PSG doesn't need money, they are searching more top players.
PSG president stated that Ibra and TS will stay at Paris till the end of their contracts.
To be honest, i dislike the way Barça is acting trying to convince TS to go for a break to leave PSG (if the press is right, and i don't believe sports newspapers a lot ^^), butthis is the only way if they want even a little chance.
If Ancelotti was still in Paris i would say TS will be 100% Parisian this year, now i would say he'll be 95% Parisian.
But you have the right to hope as suporters. ^^
Some PSG fans hope we can pick up Alcantara since they are angry about supposedly Barça try to mindfuck TS. They are saying: "since Barça want TS, we will hire Alcantara to show them we are the one able to steal one Thiago". And i think it's fantasm, we all know he is on hiw way for MU.

Tonietto (agent Thiago Silva): "Meeting with Barça director last weekend? I didn't talk with anyone. I don't even know how he looks like."

Tonietto (agent Thiago Silva): "I think he'll be in Paris next season. PSG don't need to sell and there's no bid for him." [rac1]

Thiago Silva (PSG): "Neymar joining Messi at Barça? They're a dream team, the best team in the world." [via dpa]

Alves: "I told Thiago Silva about the city and the club. He could add a lot to the team, but it's not up to me to decide who to sign" [rac1]

PSG can be the main advertiser but PSG can't offer the huge marketing share and potential that Barcelona is already offering Qatar. The benefit Qatar is getting from being a business partner with Barcelona is huge comparing to PSG. So if you want to talk business, the owner will be very very careful not to upset a club like Barcelona which is already a business partner with Qatar. Capisce?

I think I heard somewhere that Qatar's Ower is actually a barcelona fan ! I don't think he is looking to upset anyone!

I hope this isn't true. I want TS for Barca with a passion, BUT talking to a player without his team's permission is not on!

We become one of those arrogant teams who think that the rules don't apply to them. If we go down that road, then we shouldn't complain when it's done to us.

Many teams do this and most teams tolerate it if it's done with their own players.

Seems quite normal, considering he has a big stake in both clubs. It's also quite funny, when you go their website (http://www.qsi.com.qa/), they first show the logo from Barca, and only below is the one of PSG. Woohoo :)

Anyhow, Rosell must know their president quite well from the negotation of our sponsorship-deal, so let's hope Rosell can work his magic again and convince their president.

Hahaha ! Again this contemptous tone...
And you don't knwo wat you are talking about. At the moent, it's clear that PSG as little visibility compared to Barça. But Qatar benefits far from PSG than Barça. Our ex french president (namely Sarkozy, who is PSG fan) pushed for the Qatari investments in PSG. Qatari, aswell, got great tax laws from their investments in France and Paris as a result.
QSI it's also Bein Sport, a chain who earn the French Ligue 1 rights. So the stronger is PSG, the stronger it benefits from them.
Then, the argument like what the PSG owner doesn't want to make Barça angry, so he'll sell TS is the biggest bullshit i've ever heard. In that case, why did PSG outbid Barça last year when this latter was interested in ? As you said, Qatar isn't philanthropic, this is all business. They sponsored the best team of the decade, which give them great visibilty (and you are well paid for that). In the other hand, they earn a club and they want him to reach success.
Do you ever see businessmen who are willing to put their own business in jeopardy just to help their partners ?
Anyways, i don't see why keeping your own player would upset anybody. You are talking like if Barça has some rights over TS...
And to end, we are in an english forum, so no, i don't capisco.

Edit: i don't give credit to those self-named specialists but geopolitcal specialists are even saying that now PSG owner is the new Cheickh he will push even harder in the way of the soft-power and is willing to give PSG more visibility by hiring big players. But i rate this judgment at least as high at yours.

Barcelona plan to make an opening bid of 32M when they start negotiations with French club PSG for centre back Thiago Silva (28). [catradio]

Damn all those rumours. Hard to not get excited over his possible transfer. Such a shame that we didnt push harder for him last year, when the time was right.
