football is so unfair sometime Macedonia had 3 chances to score, they didnt, ok... Than, our RB got undeserved red card, our coach was sent off as well, and there, in the 92nd minute we conceded a goal... We played quite good, Slovakia had the possesion, but we had 3 great chances, too bad we failed to score... We'll revenge at home

I am impressed by Hamsik, have to say. That guy was running all the time, on the right, on the left, in the middle... had quite good assist for the goal...

Cyprus are not as weak as many people think...we beat Spain once...3-2 it was for the qualifying of Euro 2000...we crushed Ireland twice...we drew with Germany recently...

...we also crushed Bulgaria last year...4-1...

Cyprus are good for their size...that's what I meant...how can you fail to get that...?

Spain were never rubbish....what you want to say is that they have never been as good as they are now...which is something completely different...they always played some excellent football but due to some weak links or bad luck or bad refereeing(witness WC 2002) they did nor have the best results...

*Obviously you are geographically illiterate...Cyprus is about the size of Malta or Luxembourg...compare our results with them...Anorthosis and Apoel...2 Cypriot clubs have been in the CL group stage 2 years running...Anorthosis beat Panathinaikos,drew twice with Werder and once with Internazionale...they never lost with more than one goal...same with Apoel...never lost by more than one goal at the group stages...drew twice with Atletico and once with Chelsea...now dare compare that with teams from Malta or Luxembourg...

**You disappoint me as a UK national...usually you are the only Europeans that know anything about Cyprus(well maybe the Russians as well)

More than happy that Albania started off well... we even could beat Romania, they weren't better at all.

I wish we played France before they eventually wake up.... it'll be too late until 2011 when Albania will first play them. If it was earlier, we'd get some points off of them.

Nah really... they showed consistency... and scored 4 to a team that conceded once in the world cup.... what happened to that "brilliant" defence... god knows.

You say Spain were rubbish...they were not rubbish...they were not top like they are now...but that doesn't mean they were rubbish...2 different things...I am not Spain fanboy...I only give credit where that is due...If you haven't yet realised how monumental are the achievements of Spanish sport during the last years I am sorry to observe that you cannot accept let alone analyse reality...I haven't the slightest relation to Spain(politically,culturally,economically)...but like I said...I give credit where that is due...

...and since you are great at Geography you should at least have known that it is tiny...and that its recent results both at club and national level are disproportionate to their size...and yes Cyprus is an unimportant country...but that doesn't negate the fact that drawing with Portugal away is an achievement for them...

As the last man down Hyypia took one of the Moldovans down resulting into a direct red.

Well, claiming that nobody cares about Cyprus is a bit over the top.

First of all southern part of Cyprus is still in the EU (The Republic of Cyprus), there's still a great political issue with its Northern part, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia are all amazing cities, Cyprus' ancient history is quite an interesting one and it has an extremely rich culture.
