Thanx Valon. No Marquez and no Pique. Thankfully this season we have central defenders in abundance.

This is a tough one to predict, because as much as Pathetico are pathetic, it's usually like the clasico - going into the match form doesn't really matter. Neither does quality. In terms of individual players, Atletico do have the capacity to mount a challenge and screw us over. Given that two of our CBs have been red-carded, it's going to be very risky. Although potentially missing Marquez may be an advantage. If this were at the Camp Nou i would say 4-0 outright, but away from home that is unlikely. Also, provided that we have Puyol and Milito who will most likely play as CBs (Dani should be back), it is going to be a bit scary, because we had that horrid defensive season when these two were together. The problem lies in their similar playing styles. Tbh i would actually be more confident if we played Maxwell - Puyol - Milito - Abidal BECAUSE Dani will leave the right side too exposed, and away to Atletico that's dangerous. But seeing as Alves will 99% play, we'll need to rely on our attack rather than defence.
    I expect:
    Alves - Puyi - Milito - Abidal
    Xavi - Busquets - Iniesta/Keita
    Messi - Zlatan - Henry/Pedro

I think that we should be able to win this one, maybe 3-2. But I wouldn't be surprised if it were a high-scoring draw. But as i said above, you never really know with Patheti, so it could even be a whipping, like 4-0. Hmm... Can't decide!

At least Maxwell looked great today... RB shouldn't be a problem. The problem now is Puyol-Milito. Bad idea, but better than Chiggy.

puyol milito should be fine. puyol will always be puyol, but i think milito can calm down and play the pique role well. he had a great game today. i'm not worried about atletico. we just have to keep doing what we are doing, pathetico is nothing.

The problem is that Milito has always played the Puyol role in Zaragoza. He also played the Puyol role when Puyol was gone in 07-08. It was obvious that there was no chemistry between them that year when we kept on leaking goals (in addition to Puyol's bum knee which healed up nicely for last and this season) and their clash of heads in the Man U game. He played the Puyol role today, too. I can't see how he can change his style completely in one week, when he's been that type of player for probably his entire life. Hopefully, Forlan and Aguero won't be clicking next week.....

Despite my opinion, Chiggy-M/P will be worse than Puyol-Milito of course.
