lol I go there quite often actually, only because of the free tickets. You would be surprised how many Irish there are at their games. I'd say about a third of all the fans I've seen there have been Irish.

I went to United v Arsenal in the CL and we were all surrounded by cockneys

RvP Ridiculously good when he's fit. Let's hope this is the end of his injury problems, wish he'd retire from international football.

The best goal of his hattrick today.

Van Persie says Barca Nag too much!
    RVP is a TW@T!

He doesn't understand why everyone kicked up a fuss over his foul on Messi? Claims if he had done the same thing to Mascherano no one would complain!

People would complain you grey haired gobsh*te! You could have broken Messi's leg. If he treats other players the same way, I'm sure t hey will complain too! He is a drity player! I've seen make tackles where players are lucky not to have had their legs broken! I hope Van Persie gets a taste of his own Medicine!

I hope he comes up against Adebayor again and starts his nagging and crying after the game again! I can't stand Van Persie!

Football player in defending themselves shocker. And he's not a dirty player, when has he tried to break another players leg before? I can remember a deliberate foul on Adebayor last season as revenge but thats it. I doubt he intentionally wanted to hurt Messi especially as he knows what its like to be out for ages because of another player.

You also miss out this bit where he praises them - "I have a lot of respect for Barcelona. Is it possible to match what Barcelona are doing? I rate Barcelona even higher than Spain’s national side."

Oh so revenge makes it OK to make a challenge that could break someones leg? Revenge on Adebayor is OK even if it is potentially a leg breaking tackle! Like Van Persie has never kicked players in the face?

You doubt he intentionally wanted Messi to get Hurt? He clearly is going for the player and not the ball! All replays and pictures show that crystal clear! His intention was to force Messi to be subbed out through injury thus giving Arsenal a greater chance of going through! Anyone could see that! Same tactic Holland tried agasint Spain in WC Final!

Van Persie is a nasty dirty Player! All throughout his career, even in Holland there have been examples of this!

You seriously telling me Adebayor challenge is the only time in all years of watching RVP that you have seen him fly into a tackle dangerously putting the other player at risk? I can't name exact games, but I have seen it numerous times from him!

Fantastic football talent RVP is, but also a royal tw@t!

It wasn't a potential leg breaker though. And no, he hasn't kicked someone in the face. RvP isn't a dirty player, when he was younger he made 1 or 2 silly tackles but as he's got older he's stopped.

I don't know what his intentions were but I doubt it was to deliberately hurt Messi. You don't know that was his intention, you're just saying it was because you don't like him.

Wasn't his intetion? Then what was his intention with a dangerous studs up challenge on the leg at shin height, as he clearly goes for the man and not the ball? The referee should have given him a yellow card at the very LEAST!

It is clear his intention is to make sure Messi gets subbed out the game as he is a player who can single handly stop Arsenal progressing to quater finals! He was part of the team that did the exact same thing in the World Cup final! Kick all of Spains best players off the park to have a chance of winning! I certainly don't put it past RVP doing the same to Messi.

It was a dirty dangerous tackle by Van persie and if Messi's standing foot had been completely planted it certainly had potential to result in a fractrue! When I saw it, it reminded me of the challenge that put Eduardo out of the game for a long time.

You think different and that is fine, by me. You are entitled to an opinion. I'm not going to insult you or anything because of it like another poster did because he didn't like what I had to say.

Stop saying its clear. Its your opinion which is blinded because you dislike him. It was a bad tackle and a yellow but you have no evidence that he meant to hurt Messi. Taylor's on Eduardo wasn't intentional neither was Shawcross' on Ramsey, they were reckless and mistimed like RvP's.

I wouldn't call RVP a dirty player necessarily but definitely a tit for feigning responsibility for either the studs up challenge on Leo or his sending off...Own your shit already
Paolo Maldini - "In my opinion, Messi should win the Ballon D'Or each year. He's an unbelievable player."

IMO the tackle is all the evidence you need! Messi is not going anywhere dangerous! Messi Running back towards his own half!

I would implore anyone neutral to watch that video and defy them to tell me that RVP did not intend to hurt Messi so that it would adversely affected his performance or even force him off through injury.

Anyway we are both sticking to our opinions it seems.

As for me saying those things because I dislike RVP, that is not the case. He is a dirty player period in my book, and in my years of watching him, it is not the first time I've seen him fly into tackles dangerously or use sly use his arms/elbow/hands to ruffle a player.

Have you ever heard of Mistiming a tackle? He didnt go in to hurt Messi ffs. Stop saying it if its proven fact. Its all very well pausing it there, but it was happening at lightning fast pace, a half a second out and thats what happens. Bad tackle? yes. Awful, intended Leg Breaker? No.
